nov 9 2017 An Alabama woman who tricked people, including her own child, into thinking she was dying of cancer will serve time behind bars.

Jennifer Flynn Cataldo, 37, was sentenced to 25 months in prison for fraudulently raising more than $260,000 over three years by telling friends, family and strangers that she had terminal cancer.

Detectives said Cataldo ran her scheme from 2014 to May 2017 and collected funds through Facebook, emails, text messages and two GoFundMe accounts, WHNT reports.

So, she got paid $130K per year tax free, to spend two years in prison.

Probably still has a lot of it socked away somewhere.

They should tack on another year for every month she goes without returning it.
