People Fed Up With ‘Thoughts And Prayers’ Demand Action After Texas Church Massacre

just making up quotes or taking them out of context is not truth shit stain

I spit in the face of the black guy.

Obama was nothing more than another black failure in a government job and another black family in government housing.
Stupid nigger.

You typed those words on this forum, skank.

You are a rayciss, skank.

well one is real because its right here in this thread

the other two you have to prove

get it lying asshole

one is taken out of context

the other is likely a lie or taken out of context.

you refuse to provide the Proof

The man had no criminal history at the time he purchased the weapon.

Nobody dropped any balls.

Gun "control" laws and background checks are ineffective, but lying liberals want more of them - even though we know they don't stop criminals from getting weapons.

If a killer can't get a gun he'll rent a truck from Home Depot.

So, are you convinced that Texas does not allow the purchase of weapons without requiring the federally-mandated background check?

Funny he had no criminal record according to you but " the gunman was not eligible to purchase the assault rifle he used to gun down churchgoers, after having been court-martialed by the Air Force in 2012. He served a year in prison and received a bad conduct discharge in 2014 for assault on his spouse and assault on their child, an Air Force rep said."

That sure looks like a criminal record to me!

According to me?

I suggest you read what you wrote that I responded to. You said the shooter had no criminal history when he bought the gun. You know damn good and we'll he had a history of domestic abuse when he bought the gun so who ever did the records/background check screwed up. Be a man and admit you were mistaken.

He was court-martialed in 2012 on charges of assault on his spouse and on their child. He received a bad conduct discharge, confinement for 12 months and a reduction of his military status.

He was able to purchase an assault rifle despite a law that restricts firearms from people convicted of domestic violence. Under U.S. law, a person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence is prohibited from possessing firearms, but it is unclear whether there were exceptions in this case that may have allowed the purchase to go forward.

Kelley purchased the Ruger model AR-556 rifle used in the shooting at a San Antonio sporting goods store in April 2016, according to a law enforcement official.

Since a NICS check is mandated by federal law, and there's no evidence to suggest that check was not run as required, then he had no criminal history that would have prohibited the sale at the time the check was run.

Tell me again how "Texas doesn't require checks", will you?

If Texas had a mandatory background check he might have been turned down as he was turned down by Texas for a concealed carry license. But it really doesn't matter who is right the point is useless now.

Texas does have a mandatory background check. They use the NICS system.

The NICS check failed to turn up the record of the suspected Anrifa shooter's bad conduct discharge or his court martial for abuse.

The gunman who opened fire on a Texas church Sunday morning cleared a background check to buy his weapons, despite having been discharged from the military for bad conduct, CNN reported. Devin Patrick Kelley, 26, purchased the Ruger AR-556 rifle used in the shooting in April 2016 from an Academy Sports & Outdoors store in San Antonio. He reportedly said he didn’t have any disqualifying criminal history on his background check. Kelley, however, had been discharged from the military under dishonorable circumstances in 2014 after being court-martialed for assaulting his wife and their child. The discharge reportedly did not show up as a prohibited offense on his background check. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Monday morning that Kelley had previously been denied a state license to carry.

Thanks for backing up what I said. Texas does not require gun dealers to do any more than use the NCIS. So considering he had a federal conviction on his record he should not have passed the check.

Sounds more like the demographics of your average registered likely voter Republican to me. Talk about prequal.

This is what you said:

Simple the state of Texas doesn't require back ground checks.

Except that Texas doesn't require it and the gun shop where he bought the gun didn't do one. So not enforcing the law was the cause here.

If it is a federal law and the gun shop didn't do a back ground check which gun shop do you think violated the law? Please think before posting.

Earlier reports said the gun shop didn't do a background check. But I see that was wrong and he passed one when he shouldn't have so who dropped the ball pal?

Can you point out where I "backed up" these statements of yours? I will completely understand if you can't, of course.

The gun shop did a check. The gun shop in question (an Academy Sports & Outdoors store in San Antonio) ran the same check that all FFL gun sellers in the USA are required to run by federal law. Texas is part of the USA and is subject to federal law.

Maybe you can tell me what "state check" would have overruled the federal one. Naturally, I will understand if you can't.

I noticed you avoided the fact that the suspected Antifa shooter was denied a Texas CCW permit, so apparently Texas isn't the lax criminal paradise you think it is.
