FBI cites Black Lives Matter as new domestic terrorist threat

The concept of “black identity extremists” appears to be entirely new. FP found only five references to the term in a Google search; all were to law enforcement documents about domestic terrorism from the last two months. One of those online references is to law enforcement training on identifying “domestic terror groups and criminally subversive subcultures which are encountered by law enforcement professionals on a daily basis.”

NO members of BLM were involved .. and in fact, the guy that did the shooting was rejected by BLM because of his demonstrated propensity for violence.

Micah Johnson, 25, of Mesquite, Texas, was identified by police as the sniper who shot 12 people during a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Dallas on Thursday night. By Friday, the authorities had found “bomb making materials, ballistic vests, rifles, ammunition, and a personal journal of combat tactics” in the Army veteran’s apartment—evidence suggesting that the killings might have been only one part of Johnson’s violent plans.

“We need recruits everywhere!” one of the group’s leaders posted on Thursday before the Dallas shooting. “Arm yourself or Harm yourself!”

Johnson liked several militant and black separatist groups such as The New Black Panther Party and the African American Defense League.

The league posted on Facebook after Johnson’s massacre: “ATTACK EVERYTHING IN BLUE EXCEPT THE MAIL MAN, UNLESS HE IS CARRYING MORE THAN MAIL.”

Johnson also liked the Black Riders Liberation Party, which describes itself as a “new generation” of Black Panthers.

Dallas Cop-Killer Micah Johnson Was Blacklisted by Black-Power Groups as ‘Unstable’

DALLAS — Micah Johnson sought to join a black militant group two years before he targeted white police officers for death but was turned away after a background check.

After being sent home from Afghanistan for stealing women’s underwear, Johnson was discharged from the Army in late summer 2014 just as the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner were energizing the nascent Black Lives Matter movement. With his Army identity shattered, as his mother told The Blaze, Johnson then sought a new one in the black power movement by joining one of several groups that believe in armed resistance against white society, especially police.

Before he could join, though, a tipster asked a man in the Dallas-area movement to screen Johnson for involvement in black activist groups.

Ken Moore of the Collective Black People’s Movement (CBPM) said that he was asked to look into Johnson by an unidentified black activist group. When he discovered the Army veteran was discharged for sexual harassment, he labelled him “unfit for recruitment.”
