It honestly seems like only yesterday that Trump-ettes were whining that the Mueller investigation was a big "nothingburger".

Judge Worried About ‘Flight’ by Indicted Manafort and Gates

WASHINGTON — Former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort and his associate Rick Gates — indicted this week on charges ranging from conspiracy to money laundering — will remain on home confinement with GPS monitoring until at least next week.

"I have concerns about flight," U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson said as both men appeared in a Washington courtroom on Thursday afternoon.

The defense said the $10 million bond was enough to guarantee Manafort's appearances in court, and claimed that a forfeiture action of $18 million would "wipe out a substantial portion" of his wealth.

Manafort and Gates are the first known people to be indicted in connection with special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into the Trump campaign's alleged ties to Russia and Moscow's interference in last year's presidential election.

A grand jury indicted the men on 12 charges, including conspiracy against the United States, money laundering, being an unregistered foreign agent and failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.

they always say that at bail and bond hearings, you dumbass. that's why the concept of bail exists in the first place.

If the judge was as concerned as you suggest then he wouldn't grant bond and instead keep him in jail during the trial.

I don't recall Obama, Bill Clinton, or George Bush for that matter surrounding themselves with people who got indicted for conspiracy against the United States, money laundering, being an unregistered foreign agent and failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.

Since this is not longer the cherished "nothingburger" that Fox and Breitbart led Trumpettes to believe, is it possible for a Trumpette to explain why our Fat Ass Orange Clown surrounds himself with unethical people?
In other words, what is it uniquely about Trump in the annals of modern presidents, that causes him to hire and surround himself with these kind of people?
 
Manafort is wearing a GPS anklet and cannot leave his home without expressed permission from the court to do so...
He is monitored 24/7...
His wealth and ownership of properties all over the world, combined with the serious prison time he is facing in an airtight case, make him a substantial flight risk.
The Judge is not taking any chances with him.
He is effectively in jail until his trial, sometime in May.

This is a double Whopper with cheese.
