Ask the Racist Democrat party. That you prob support.
You're illiterate. There's no such thing as a "Democrat party".
Ask the Racist Democrat party. That you prob support.
That was what your precious CSA tried, and America prevailed, as she always does.
That's not entirely true. The north didn't seem much willing to compromise on its economic policies harming the south, and that's a problem.
But - not to his credit - Lincoln had said he would allow slavery to continue in order to preserve the union.
Yet it was simply in reaction to his election before he took office that the south seceded.
One compromise idea that had been talked about was paying slave owners for their loss by ending slavery. They weren't interested.
They tried to leave. Nothing more.
They became traitors to our Nation.
You're illiterate. There's no such thing as a "Democrat party".
It's used as a pejorative. You're a moron.
Actually, you're an idiot and my point was to respond to the pejorative pejoratively.
They tried to leave. Nothing more.
The Democrats are a lot more democratic than the Republican plutocrats are republican.
It's 100% true.
Apparently, Lincoln was a liar. The Emancipation Proclamation proved that.
Who would set the price? Who would make the determination how much a slave was worth?
You have disqualified your opinion if you think that the Democrats are still a Southern conservative party. The rest of your post is simply a red herring designed to distract from this very glaring fact.
The Southern Strategy has never stopped. Lee Atwater, originally under the promise of anonymity, outright stated that Republicans became more abstract about racism post-1960s because it was political suicide to call blacks n*ggers. The strategy went into super-mega-overdrive under Trump.
It's used as a pejorative. You're a moron.
The south is a pejorative. If I want to get people to think of such things as illiteracy, inbreeding, religious hypocrisy, dropouts, trailer parks, prohibition, and a host of other social ills, all I have to do is invoke the south.
The north has those too.
Kelly's comments on the Civil War, slavery, and the treasonous South are far more deplorable than anything Trump has ever said (except perhaps when Trump suggested slaughtering women and children). There is no hope for America when the voice of reason in the Republican party is as morally bankrupt as John Kelly. Trumpism has revealed America for what it is -- a nation with deep-rooted white supremacist tendencies and apologetics.
America has never been the nation that it pretends to be.
They were the racists back then, look what states supported them back then... now look who supports the Democrats... not the same people.
For national politics it switched in the 1960's when Nixon pursued the racist "Southern strategy" learn some history.
It such an easy thing to prove. Just look at which party Southern conservatives now support, and have supported for decades.
