ISIS terrorists pushed from one urban stronghold after another in Syria, have been moving deeper into Syria's remote desert where they can regroup.*

The Sunni militants' self-proclaimed caliphate may have been vanquished, but experts say they are regrouping and preparing their next incarnation in the desert.**Beyond the urban and inhabited areas lies the vast Syrian Desert, also known as Badiyat al-Sham, famous for its caves and rugged mountains.*

It encompasses about 500,000 square kilometers (200,000 square miles) across parts of southeastern Syria, northeastern Jordan, northern Saudi Arabia, and western Iraq. The desolate landscape is a perfect hideout and a second home for many IS militants from the days before the birth of their caliphate.*

Obama put the war plans in place that have been and continue to defeat ISIL for years, and I keep finding people to put on ignore.

I don't know what you are expecting when the best-known relationship between Obama and ISIL policy is his off-the-cuff remark where he appears to be blatantly underestimating the enemy.

Well, Trump said ISIS would be defeated and they lost their caliphate before Trump was in office for a year.

Should be an easy enough sell come election time.

That's like saying your going to win the World Series when you already have a three game to none advantage, did President Truman win WWII?

President Obama said it would be a generational battle and it appears he was correct

Militant fundamentalism isn't fading till the entire Middle East is stable and we all know that ain't happening anytime soon

Islamic terrorism is the enemy, anchovies - that's what Obama refused to say.

How come Obama didn't drive ISIS out of its capital, and it fell only after he left office, anchovies?

Oh, and anchovies -

Did you actually think wars and battles began when the Presidency changes hands? T

This Administration just continued the strategdy of the prior Administration, there was no reverse course January of this year, just the economy, they inherited a winning hand

If I'd said that, you'd have a point, anchovies.

Since I didn't, you don't.

This Administration just continued the strategdy of the prior Administration, there was no reverse course January of this year, just the economy, they inherited a winning hand

Perhaps you can prove that "this Administration just continued the strategy (note the correct spelling, anchovies) of the prior Administration", then.

I'll understand if you can't.
