You left out Ted Nugent, a guy who famously bragged -- in detail -- about shitting his pants to avoid the draft. He has tried to retract it, but like Ivana's original rape allegation against Trump, the story is too detailed and specific to be simply dismisseed.

I don't necessarily begrudge dudes for not wanting to go to Vietnam, which was a completely unnecessary and immoral war. For all the blather about the troops "fighting for our freedoms", the reality is young men and women are usually sent to die for the geopolitical schemes and machinations of old white men.
The problem is that Limbaugh, Trump, Cheney, apparently were fans of the Vietnam War, never having publically spoken against it at the time, so they thought the war was a great idea as long as less well connected kids fought it instead of they themselves. Clinton at lease was a consciences objector to the war, and thus presumably didn't want anyone to go fight it - so at least there was a hint of consistency in Clinton's position.
Well, McCain has kinda done his time, and then some. And while he's a war-waging neocon, he's more devoted to peace and America's security interests than Trump.
Agreed. The best example of 'dodging' the draft is what Muhammad Ali did. He stood on principle and was punished (then totally exonerated), he didn't shit his pants or use Daddy's privilege to fabricate bone spurs.

But I had my bags packed and was ready for Canada. By that time the war was obviously futile,
