12% have power, over a million w/ no running water

You're just an ignorant railer trash fucktard who needs to shut the fuck up! The World Bank classifies PR as a high income economy.

The*economy of*Puerto Rico*is classified as a*high income economy*by the*World Bank*and as the most competitive economy in*Latin America*by the*World Economic Forum.[16][17]The main drivers of its economy are*manufacturing, primarily*pharmaceuticals,*textiles,*petrochemicals, and*electronics; followed by the*service industry, notably*finance,*insurance,*real estate, and*tourism.[c]*The*geography of Puerto Ricoand*its political status*are both determining factors on its economic prosperity, primarily due to its relatively small size as an island;*its lack of natural resources*used to produce*raw materials, and, consequently, its dependence on imports; as well as its*suzerainty*to the United States which controls its*foreign policies*while exerting trading restrictions, particularly in*its shipping industry

LOL, all that says is that the rest of Latin America is a bigger slum than Puerto Rico...............

Seriously you see a high income economy here? If so you are mentally ill, but I think that we already proved that issue

LOL high income, or dirt poor?

If I recall correctly, wasn't there a battle in Congress over funding for Sandy repair and clean-up? Cruz of TX was against it; then suddenly when *his* state got hammered federal aid was A Very Good Thing. That's not to say that Obama's directed response couldn't have been better. That little racist prick Kek is half right -- W got rightfully criticized for the woeful federal response following Katrina. Like Trump, he bragged about how great it was when in fact it wasn't. Obama didn't brag.

We've had at least five natural disasters occur since Twittler was selected -- three hurricanes, the concurrent fires out West, and now the wildfires in California. Maybe if we pretend that they're all Chinese hoaxes we won't have to do anything about them.

Obama couldn't brag; because it would have interfered with his back swing.

:truestory:

Everything on this thread. Do you honestly think those one or two pictures you found somewhere of La Perla in P.R. represent the whole island or population?

The photos that I presented were pre hurricane and clearly show that Puerto Rico is not a high economy, whatever that is anyway, the photos also show that not all of Puerto Rico has water or electricity, thus it is not Trumps responsibility to restore what never was

And you still have not pointed out what I am wrong about, so you may phone a friend

The weather has been nice down here. 87 today.

Trying to hope for something positive out of a catastrophe, maybe the rebuild will give them the chance for better housing; seeing as how some people are using the tiny house idea and using large metal shipping containers.
I believe it was a picture from China that showed the containers stacked, essentially making 2 or 3 story apartments.

I have seen those around the world. It is a great use of an easily obtained and transported structure. Does not take much to make one habitable or fancy if you like. Very tough also.

If you had ever been to India, South East Asia or large parts of South America and Africa, you'd know how.

I saw some pictures from India, I believe, and residents had tapped into the power grid, when it was down for repairs, and ran unmetered connections to their own and other's homes.

A friends brother, who used to live in Northern California, was always having their power grid go down to fires or repairs.
He ran power to his work shops and ended it prior to his meter.
Then the next time they were told that they wouldn't have any power between certain hours, he tapped his new line into the main one and covered up the connections.

His brother found all this out, after his brother died and they were doing some interior renovations.
He had tapped the new line into the main, inside his exterior bathroom wall where it ran up to his meter.

Which is why I'm complaining about him. It's a drag to have such a terrible leader for a country as great as America.

You should be embarrassed for helping elevate him to a position so clearly over his head.

Then get ready to complain, until 2024.

Not that your complaining is going to accomplish anything. :D

This typically the sort of thing you'll see in rural Thailand or the Phillipines.
