If, by "many" you mean a relative handful of knee jerker Trumptards who were only interested in getting their faces on the local news by burning a couple of raggedy old t-shirts and worn-out ball caps, then your concept of "many" is different than most people's.

And even those goofballs we saw on TV burning their fan stuff will be back by next season, if not sooner.

By the time the playoffs roll around, they'll be back in front of their TV's on Sunday, glued to the screen, donning their brand new fan apparel of their favorite team.

And miss the Super Bowl???

The brand is tainted. Americans are repulsed by a bunch of fatcat, dumb brawny millionaires shitting on the flag and anthem which got them where they are today.

Trump honed in on this issue and the temperature of the public and owned it. Backing these ingrates is a losing strategy which is coming to fruition.

NASCAR's problems stem more from the fact that it appeals mainly to dumb rednecks and because most people aren't interested in following a "sport" that wastes untold thousands of gallons of fossil fuel per year not to mention tons of rubber.

It's a loud, dirty, wasteful and most of all BORING pastime that only appeals to people who aren't intelligent enough to find more intellectually stimulating pursuits.

IOW, conservatives.

Who do you think pays for it?

Every time they raise their premiums and doctors and hospitals raise their fees, the public is paying for it. Your premiums, including the last increase, are paying for the health care of everyone whose medical bills your insurance company paid for whether the coverage was provided by a private employer or not.

Not a difficult concept to grasp.

Employee insurance offered by private employers is not funded by taxpayer dollars. That is the lie Althea pushes.

The premiums are paid by the business to the insurance company.

Actually, it IS funded by taxpayer dollars.

Because employer-paid premiums for health insurance are exempt from federal income and payroll taxes, and the portion of premiums paid by employees is typically excluded from taxable income as well, just like with any other tax cut, the rest of us have to make up the difference.

So Althea is correct.

Money earned by a private business does not belong to the fed gubmint. The premiums are paid by the business not taxpayers.

No matter how much the greedy and self-interested political right may hate it, everyone is responsible for paying taxes in a free society, including private businesses.

Just as with any tax give away, the lost revenue from tax-exempt health care premiums has to get made up somewhere. That somewhere is right back out of not only the rest of our pockets, but the pockets of those who benefit from the employer paid insurance, via tax and/or fee increases in other areas.

You can put your usual tired old right-wing spin on it all you want, but it doesn't change the reality.

And your description of right-wing, Trumptard knee-jerkers as "thinking people" is too funny, considering that they are anything but.
