Not being a fan or almost never watching the NFL I was curious what the players kneeling was about, so I watched the beginning of the Saints Lions game.
Apparently they are protesting police officers.
But my gawd, protesting a moment of silence for a policeman killed just last Friday?
If I was an NFL fan before I wouldn't be now. They are truly disgusting.
I hope college football never gets this corrupted .
At the end of the LSU game DJ "Flash" Chark Jr. was thanking God for being with him. Seemed like a very nice kid during the interview.

Hope the NFL doesn't fuck him up someday.

Well - i hate the kneelers but actually i don't think we should have a moment of silence for fallen cops either. Keep the damn politics out of sports, period.

everybodys got an agenda..moment of silence for a dead cop is a worthy idea, but is it appropriate?

How is it inappropriate? He'd just been killed two days before. The Saints players made it political protesting it. Any player protesting honoring a cop that had just been killed in their community should be ineligible for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. In fact they should be eligible for the Michael Vick jerk of the year award.

I wonder what all of the leftists around here think about protesting the commemoration of dead cops? We already know they love it when players protest America.

Honoring a fallen cop isn't political.

And it's pretty pathetic some players would kneel during the moment of silence. It's also piss-poor messaging on their part. Many people have the sneaking suspicion that the kneel movement is more about cop-hating than anything and that little stunt only serves to validate it.

Should they have a moment of silence for a fallen black kid who was murdered by a cop?

We're going to see exactly what this is about, now that Green Bay needs a QB.

Ironic that it happened right after Kap filed a collusion suit against NFL owners.

The ball is in their court now.

Cops are like soldiers. They sign up knowing that there's a good chance they will be killed. Contrast that with a kid like Tamir Rice who was playing by himself in a park.

Cops who give their life in public service are much the same as vets who die in war.
They deserve a moment of silence at least

well with assholes wearing pig socks, yes it does convey hate

These NFL players act like spoiled school children. I think it's time for the owners to slap them down. I know I was never allowed to protest when I was at work and on the clock what makes them special?

NFL players are confused right now. they have lost their souls, and selling what's left of their dignity to political correctness gone mad.

The truly otherwise patriotic players are bowing to their surroundings, Instead of admitting to themselves that they are simply surrounded by a lot of loud mouth thugs that
somehow rule the day simply because they can play football in a more boisterous way.

A thug is a thug is a thug, you can dress him up in a pretty uniform and shower him with millions of dollars, but a thug is still a thug.
Monkeys performing for our entertainment.

Hey, I have no problem with the left hating on police officers and service members. I just ask that people be honest about it when they do. Of course, plenty of people do get angry about it, and that's why I encourage leftists to keep at it.

Do you have a problem with 'Rightists' hating on unarmed black kids?

Yeah, I've taken considerable issue with all of the flaming and trolling that certain posters have engaged in with regard to Trayvon Martin over the past several years.
