Nuclear engineer is a profession that requires that degree. Try to get a job as a nuclear engineer and see what is required. There is no home school exceptiion. Jimmy Carter did not invent nuclear engineering so he does not qualify for this nascent industry exception you created. My dad is close in age to Carter and they already conferred that degree at the time. I know Jimmy does not diminish my father. He went on after that to get a masters in pure mathematics and a phd in physics. I don't think Jimmy trades in that label, so it's not on him. I respect Carter most for his work in charity building homes. That's awesome. Better than his work with nuclear subs or Hawkins work. It's amazing he does that with his free time.

Yes I do and he claimed to have done a test. then again he claimed to be a lot of things as well. I liked him somewhat even though I suspected he had a tendency to bullshit on occasion.
