Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has said he'd stand for the national anthem if he can play in the NFL once more.

The Anthem controversy stood the whole 'bending the knee' meme on its head lol.

I'm not convinced Kap was being refused just because of the controversy, so he still may not be hired even though un-bending the knee won't hurt his chances any.

Colin Kaepernick plans to stand for the national*anthem
MARCH 2, 2017

After starting a national dialogue by refusing to stand during the national anthem last year, Colin Kaepernick plans to stand for the anthem this year.

Kaepernick believes there has been positive change in America and doesn’t want to detract from that, so he’ll no longer kneel during “The Star-Spangled Banner” in 2017, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

He was a benchwarmer before he started these antics. He's not working because he isn't capable.

Pence later posted a statement which read, "I left today's Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem. At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us."

"After sitting down with Colin Kaepernick for several hours, @JasonLaCanfora says the QB is still actively trying to play in the NFL," NFLonCBS tweeted Sunday, including a video.

"He's not planning on kneeling, he's going to donate all his jersey sales, and he's planning on standing for the anthem, if given the opportunity," La Canfora said in the video segment.

NFL execs admit Kaepernick is better than these 6 starters

According to an ESPN survey — which polled “nine general managers, 13 coordinators, six personnel directors, five other executives, five head coaches, seven other assistant coaches, three analytics directors and two national scouts” and asked them to place the league’s quarterbacks, and Kaepernick, into tiers — there are six teams that would benefit from his being their starter.

Kaepernick was the 28th-ranked QB overall, just behind Broncos signal-caller Trevor Siemian and Chicago’s $45 million man, Mike Glennon. Kaepernick outranked his successor in San Francisco, Brian Hoyer, Jacksonville’s Blake Bortles, the Rams’ Jared Goff, Houston’s Tom Savage, the Jets’ Josh McCown and whoever is the Browns quarterback (he outpaced Brock Osweiler, Cody Kessler and the unranked DeShone Kizer).

He also said he would go anywhere, to try out for a team.

How about going to hell. :good4u:

Care to explain why this was reported TODAY, then?

Colin Kaepernick has told CBS that he would stand during the national anthem if given a chance to play football in the NFL again.

Kaepernick has been living in New York and working out privately in New Jersey with the hope of signing with a team this season.

CBS reporter Jacon La Canfora sat down with Kaepernick, his girlfriend and his trainer on Saturday night.

I'm also hearing that this is wrong and he never said it, nor was it discussed during an interview.

It triggers you that his demonstrations on the sidelines has made him who he now is; HUH!! :good4u:

Any team that might want him will bring him in. One did, he didn't cut the mustard. He sucks. He always sucked.
If you followed him at all you would know this any know why.

“nine general managers, 13 coordinators, six personnel directors, five other executives, five head coaches, seven other assistant coaches, three analytics directors and two national scouts" .. say otherwise.

.. but do feel free assume that you know better.
