50 dead and 200 wounded in Las Vegas shootings

Since 1934, it was almost impossible to legally buy or own an automatic weapon because of the exorbitantly high prohibitive tax stamp. Since May of 1986, it became impossible to legally buy an automatic weapon manufactured after May of 1986, as it became prohibited by law. That left the LEGAL number of machine guns in civilian hands at an estimated 250,000 and the price tag for a legal automatic at around 24k to 30k. So the argument should be 'how did this guy get a full auto when it's practically impossible to buy one?'

I have no idea whether the gun used was automatic or semi-automatic, thus my point. You can buy semi-automatic weapons everywhere .. AS WELL AS fully automatic weapons..

It should be every freedom loving Americans DUTY to own at least one of them to uphold the US Constitution against all enemies, foreign AND domestic. Therefore, I support owning them.

Really? Who are you defending against .. the British? Are you in the militia?

The Constitution does not ask, require, nor demand that Americans buy guns. Where did you get that from?

What you support is the endless maze of American horror stories that end up just like this one.

An evil that seperates us from the rest of the developed world.

it is impossible, at least at this point, to call this a fact. Stop putting out misinformation.[/QUOTE]

I can speculate based on trends just like you. There's a great possibility that a vey large percentage of country-western fans also support guns.

How about you stop telling me what to post and say?

Republicans: Don't pretend to care. You don't. Evil pricks. Another gun massacre., more nothing from the backward redneck party, even when one of your kills a bunch of yours.

I wonder if Thomas Jefferson could have picked off 400 people at that range with a revolutionary war rifle. You know, original intent? Hmmmmm.

Was it revolutionary war rifles, from the American public, that were sent overseas to help England, during WW II?

So? What's that even got to do with anything?

How come every time something like this happens, you jump in and claim you or your son were there earlier.

Do you derive some sense of self importance out of it?

Or are you just looking for any excuse to brag that your son attends tech conferences?

Makes you look kind of pathetic.

Have some class, dude.

DON'T HATE, APPRECIATE. :D

In truth, the argument shouldn't be about the political or ideological perspective of the shooter .. nor should it be about his mental stability.

The argument SHOULD be about guns, particularly about automatic or semi-automatic weapons which are only designed to do exactly what the shooter did .. kill lots of people in a short amount of time.

Who supports owning these weapons is the argument.

Unfortunately, lots of those killed supported owning the weapon of their deaths.

Another violent white man committing white on white crime.

What are we going to do about these terrorist?

Are you referring to the terrorists in Detroit or Chicago; because while 50 dead is nothing to be ignored. it's just a blip on the radar for those two cities.

The shooter was just exercising his second amendment rights and demonstrating that he didn't like country music.
I completely understand.

Based on how he looks, and what he has done, I would guess he was a Ted Nugent fan...

He even looks like the Nuge

Where does the 2nd Amendment say that anyone has the right to shoot anyone?
