Jerry Jones and the entire Cowboys team take the knee

Man, Trump really can't shut up about this issue. New interview where he says the owners are afraid of the players, and calls it "disgraceful."

This is a total "eureka!" moment for Trump the demagogue. What a perfect confluence of patriotism, division, racism and visibility. Yet another shiny object - and still so many refuse to catch on to his game.

That's not how conversation works either. You don't get to frame the conversation by yourself.

You asked why republicans are always branded as racist, then you refused to acknowledge the obvious.

You presume to know more about what people of color think then actual people of color .. dismissing our experience for whatever supports your right-wing implanted beliefs.

Why talk about people of color when ALL races of people are leaving California for the same plethora of reasons?

You refuse to address why if liberal policies are such failures, why then won't Californians vote for republicans .. your team.

I'm not at all suggesting that you have to agree with me .. you're a republican. But if you actually wanted to have a conversation, you should figure out how that's done.

California hasn't voted for Republicans in the state since Prop 187 in the '90's outside of Arnold. Turned off the growing Hispanic population to Republicans.

Home owners aren't incentivized to elect people who promote more housing which could be deemed to be a risk to current values. People like their neighborhoods and cities and don't want them to change. It's great and all if you're already here and an owner but not so much for people looking for opportunity.

I don't pretend to know what POC of color think but I do read so as to hear POC opinions. I also invest in real estate and have worked in real estate for a couple of decades so we follow what is happening in communities, cities and states. We need to know why people are doing what they do.

I also lived in a City that was 50% black when I moved there and is 25% black today. I've listened to many a friend and acquaintances talk about why they leave or choose to stay in Oakland. I live in a city now that has lost a large portion of its black population. Not surprisingly there are a plethora of stories about why that occurred. Again, I pay attention and read. That doesn't make me an expert but it makes me informed.

My position is simple, and has been since day one. trump ran for POTUS for one reason...self promotion, and the hope of increasing the value of his brand. He never wanted to, nor expected to win. Everything trump does now, is aimed at increasing the revenue stream of other people's money into his pocket.

He pocketed $50million from his inauguration funds...all within the legal limits of such. His sleazy hotels are now charging more than before the election, often renting rooms to foreign dignitaries looking for something in return.

I told Cosmic back in January to watch for Paul Manafort when the truth comes out. That is finally coming to fruition.

Forget the fact that trump is an embarrassment. Forget that he's not qualified to occupy the White House. Forget the fact that he is clinically troubled, and is ultimately a danger to national security.

He's a walking, talking conflict of interest, and the entire Republican party is in consort to perpetrate this hoax.
Manafort's upcoming indictment i will assure you isn't for "Russian collusion"-the basis for the special counsel
Yes you told me about Manafort and I told your his foreign agent problems are with Ukraine ( Party of regions) and NOT the Russians.

Consider the fact Trump has been hobbled by Deep State leaks, a bogus FBI investigation and a Republican party that protects its own establishment from an outsider like Trump.

Consider the BS charges of "trump is a racist" when he never was shown to be in business -equal opportunity hiring and advancement of women too.
Consider Shumer is already lying about tax reform being a sop to the rich ( and fair reading shows its not)

Consider fake news and how it distorts everything towards anti-Trumpisnm
( i seriously doubt if you are able to do so - i saw it continuously during the campaign by WAPO and NYTime and CNN) .

Finally consider the benefits of economic nationalism if we can renegotiate NAFTA et all while lowering the corporate rate to help keep business here.

For a dumb loud mouthed New Yorker -completely outside the MS of politics -
to come up with such ideas, and be hobbled by BS from the Dems and Deep State- like improving Russian relations in order to reduce Cold War spending.. that's an impressive menu

Trump has some really good ideas if the Republicans wern't such a worthless bunch of SwampCritters.

The goal is GDP growth. Obama did a good job of recovering low paying jobs.
Now with tax reform, and better international trade and de-regulation the table is set for real GDP-
building on that job growth

Can he do it? It depends on how much obsrtuctionism is thrown up.
for the benefit of the USA I hope he's successful

Because you were trying to move the conversation somewhere else. I was speaking about liberal policies in west coast cities and how those policies affect the cost of living and as such force out POC. You want to talk about a picture of Paul Ryan and Republican interns being white.

Why does it only force out POC? Are you saying only POC are poor in CA?

When were these so called zoning laws put into place? And what makes you think it was "liberals" who instituted them? Regardless of what you think, republicans have controlled CA at different points of time.

For someone who claims they are in real estate, you can't possibly think zoning laws are what drive up housing prices, it's ludicrous.

You are mixing gentrification with zoning laws.

Gentrification doesn't only effect POC, it effects the market for everyone.

Your desperate attempt to paint liberals in CA as racist as the racist white right, isn't working.

Let's review .. Republicans are called racist because it is a virtually all white party that engages in and promotes racist policy and voter disenfranchisement .. and, it's a party full of racists that just elected an openly racist president. Unless you are actively doing something to change that within the party, you don't really have an argument when people brand you as racist because you're a republican.

There are lots of reasons why Californians don't elect republicans .. all of which are because of their disastrous POLICIES. Republicans are not environmentalists, thus, not sure why they expect people who are to vote for them.

California has the problem of far too many people, thus the issue of building more housing is and will always be a contentious one. I've heard good argument on both sides of that issue, glad it's not up to me to decide. But opportunity exists which its available, not where we want it to be. Investors moving to California must consider that it's an overly saturated market where opportunity exists in pockets.

I can appreciate your reading of black thought .. or at least what you think is black thought.

But this guy is not black thought.

urbanophile3.jpg

That's who wrote the article you posted. He has an agenda that is not black thought .. which is not to suggest that he shouldn't be respected and taken seriously.

If you need focus on the black population you should know that we have a long history of migration from one side of the country to the other. From the south to the north / Midwest / East to the west back to the south again .. which is where many of us are moving to.

After nearly 100 years, Great Migration begins reversal
College grads and retirees are leading the return of blacks to the South.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/02/02/census-great-migration-reversal/21818127/

We tend to follow opportunity and empowerment. We aren't running from liberal policies, we're moving to different opportunities in LIBERAL environments and environments we make liberal elsewhere.

I don't entirely dismiss the article, but when you're talking about black people running from liberal policies, the radar naturally goes up.

Well....I gave it a try, and it's not going to work with your new persona either. Your delusions have been deleted from the post, and I will only address this nugget. Are you willfully ignorant of his/his father's legal issues with respect to breaking the law by refusing to rent to minorities? Because that information is easily obtained.

Hell...Woodie Guthrie wrote a song about trump senior, and his racist, all white apartment complexes that were built with government money.

Which is part of the reason real estate is so high.....greed and corruption.

Old Man Trump
Words by Woody Guthrie, Music by Ryan HarveyI suppose that Old Man Trump knows just how much racial hate
He stirred up in that bloodpot of human hearts
When he drawed that color line
Here at his Beach Haven family project

Beach Haven ain't my home!
No, I just can't pay this rent!
My money's down the drain,
And my soul is badly bent!
Beach Haven is Trump’s Tower
Where no black folks come to roam,
No, no, Old Man Trump!
Old Beach Haven ain't my home!

I'm calling out my welcome to you and your man both
Welcoming you here to Beach Haven
To love in any way you please and to have some kind of a decent place
To have your kids raised up in.

Beach Haven ain't my home!
No, I just can't pay this rent!
My money's down the drain,
And my soul is badly bent!
Beach Haven is Trump’s Tower
Where no black folks come to roam,
No, no, Old Man Trump!
Old Beach Haven ain't my home!

Donald Trump and the Central Park Five: the racially charged rise of a demagogue
In 1989 five young black men were wrongfully convicted of raping a woman jogging in New York City. Leading the charge against them was a real estate mogul whose divisive rhetoric can be found in his presidential campaign today

Trump Plaza loses appeal of discrimination penalty

TRENTON, N.J. -- The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino has lost a bid to overturn a $200,000 penalty imposed because managers catered to the presumed prejudices of a high roller by removing a black dealer from his table.

A New Jersey appeals court upheld a ruling by the Casino Control Commission.

Witnesses testified that managers at several casinos would transfer both black and women dealers to other tables.

A two-judge panel said most of the witnesses for the Trump Plaza were high-ranking executives who had 'an identity of interest' with the casino, while many of those who testified for the Division of Gaming Enforcement were current employees who were risking their jobs by testifying against their employer.

'In our view, the transcript fairly reeks of Trump Plaza's guilt,' the judges said.

Black guys counting my money

In a 1991 book by John O’Donnell, who had been president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. O’Donnell quoted Trump saying,“ Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys wearing yarmulkes… Those are the only kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else…Besides that, I tell you something else. I think that’s guy’s lazy. And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks.”

O’Donnell’s report was shocking, but Trump did not contest it at the time. In 1997 he was interviewed for Playboy by author Mark Bowden and he confirmed that the O’Donnell book was “probably true.”

Is Trump a racist .. next question.

Mindboggling why this is even in question.
My best friend's father was a racists like Trump, he was an awful man, he befriended one black man he bowled, thought that changed things and he wasn't a racists, but he kept using black stereotypes to define blacks as a whole. His daughter would try to make him understand, but he never did. It's like that with Trump and his Trumptards.
