Jerry Jones and the entire Cowboys team take the knee

Now you're going with anti Trump. How does that get back to police violence?
Because those who simply viewed this a nothing more than a bunch of 'uppity blacks', now have a better grasp of the issue. This, due to trump's unwillingness to attend to the business of running the country, and his insistence on continuing his election campaign.

We can certainly agree to disagree.......we do it all the time:-)

In my opinion, they would all be on one knee like Colin started.

We already know a lot of these coaches support dump, that's why they won't take a knee. They will not, and can not, "disrespect" the American flag that is riddled with the blood of Blacks.......thus the reason for Colin's protest.

It begs the question, do they support Kapernick and his protest against institutional racism and brutality, or are they just pissed at dump because he said what they discuss behind closed doors?

I believe the latter.
Interesting point. Coaches/owners know that locker room unity is necessary for success...especially early in the season. Conversely, a lack of same is cancer.

Well cool then! Now we're getting somewhere. How soon before the killer cops face real justice?
It's a long slow process. My problem with Kaepernick, is his unwillingness to carry through with his movement. Instead of expanding on his foundation, and urging young fans to vote in November, he opted not to vote at all.

The answer to this problem is to get the racist local legislators out of office, and create police departments that more represent the local demographic. '16 was the perfect storm for change, but the moment passed.

Now things will be geometrically worse with respect to race in this country.

You mean this guy? :0)

Steelers' Villanueva: I threw teammates 'under the bus' during national anthem
The Steelers offensive lineman was only on the field by accident during Sunday's national anthem

The image of Steelers offensive lineman Alejandro Villanueva standing alone at Soldier Field during the national anthem on Sunday has become one of the most talked-about pictures in the country over the past 24 hours.*

As it turns out, the viral image almost never happened because the situation that led to Villanueva standing alone was actually an accident.*

Although Villanueva skipped out meeting with the media after the Steelers' 23-17 loss to the Bears, he did do an interview Monday during which he mentioned several times that it was his fault that the team looked divided during the national anthem. Villanueva said the reason he was on the field by himself is because a Bears employee carrying a flag got in his way.

Villanueva said he got caught in front of a person carrying a Bears flag, and by the time the flag had been moved, the national anthem had started, and at that point, he didn't think it was OK to move, which gave us the image below that shows the offensive lineman without his teammates.*

"Unfortunately, I threw (my teammates) under the bus, unintentionally," Villanueva said. "I made Coach Tomlin look bad, and that is my fault and my fault only. I made my teammates look bad, and that is my fault."

Bet you thought that was all patriotic and stuff, huh? :0)
When you spend years in a situation where you don't know if you're going to live through the night while in a foreign land, I'm sure the flag is all that you have to cling to.

I'm sure he feels strongly about the flag, and is what some call 'patriotic'. No more so than those who call for change in this country, but it's nice to know that he wasn't grandstanding.

It doesn't and this is BS that Trump is a racist.
Trump wasn't making any racist comments -he was commenting on the BEHAVIOR of kneeling .

Some types are never happy unless it's twisted into racism..forget that NOISE..

Glad to see they're up off their knees for the anthem
Why didn't trump say 'there are bad players on both sides of this issue'?

Crowd Erupts In Anger After Entire Dallas Cowboys Team Kneels Before National Anthem

The entire Dallas Cowboys football team, including owner Jerry Jones, kneeled before the national anthem on Monday night.

As the Cowboys took a knee, they were met with loud boos from the crowd as fans were appalled by the team’s decision.

... even before the anthem was played.

Proof positive that none of this is about the anthem nor the flag.
According to some, it's about the military.

ooops

President Truman wants to guarantee equal access to education, decent housing and jobs. But Congress refuses to act, and the President won’t push to pass civil rights laws.
Even so, Truman’s been using his executive authority to move ahead. Today he took the boldest step yet. Executive Order 9981, signed today, will end segregation in the armed forces.

Once again the left in this country lose,
you can't start a "protest" claiming that "protest" has a cause,

and then weeks later change that cause and think anyone is going to pay attention to you.

this kneeling BS has gone from Kapernick the jobless wonder trying to make a statement on police brutality to now a protest against Donald Trump?, really?
You want to call it the chameleon protest?
As if Trump as President has anything to do with the flag.

I thought Barrack Hussein was the worst President in the history of this country, voted in for all of the wrong reasons, but not once did I give him a second thought while I stood countless times for our national anthem to honor our fallen heroes and their sacrifices.

When you hijack such a sacred tradition with the emotional meaning of standing to represent our most honored, because you're mad at someone, you lose.

you are getting to the point I'm finding you a repulsive race hustling little bigoted hate filled dumb ass partisan..kind of a shame since I knew you when you had some independent principled stances

He was never that. I was just the only one to see through his BS. More and more are catching on though

Um....no. The issue hasn't changed. Kaepernick is being black listed in the NFL. That's what this year's actions are about. The pasty white racists in this country are trying to make this about something else.

talk about literally "shifting the goalposts!"
You don't think this was a show of solidarity for Kap, before the orange buffoon took to Twitter? Now it's about denouncing the Nazi sympathizer in the White House.
