sep 18 2017 Hillary Clinton says she made a mistake when she gave speeches on Wall Street after leaving government. Taking money from banks, she writes in her new memoir, created the impression she was in their pocket.

Her old boss doesn’t seem to share her concern.

Last month, just before her book “What Happened” was published, Barack Obama spoke in New York to clients of Northern Trust Corp. for about $400,000, a person familiar with his appearance said. Last week, he reminisced about the White House for Carlyle Group LP, one of the world’s biggest private equity firms, according to two people who were there. Next week, he’ll give a keynote speech at investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald LP’s health-care conference.

Obama is coming to Wall Street less than a year after leaving the White House, following a path that’s well trod and well paid. While he can’t run for president, he continues to be an influential voice in a party torn between celebrating and vilifying corporate power. His new work with banks might suggest which side of the debate he’ll be on and disappoint anyone expecting him to avoid a trap that snared Clinton. Or, as some of his executive friends see it, he’s just a private citizen giving a few paid speeches to other successful people while writing his next book.

Speculation, anyone? President Barack Hussein Obama is fully entitled to receive whatever amount the markets provide for his speaking engagements or any other thing he decides to do. I'm shocked that any rightwingnut would describe his speaking mannerisms in a negative way. He spoke in a manner respective of his education but simply enough for the average person to understand. What we have now is an idiot that speaks and thinks on a dumb 3rd grader level. That is sad. Just sad.

The Big Dawg and his ole' lady are getting about a million for their speeches. I think that's about right for them. I attended an event in DC in 1986 where the lil' donnie was the keynote speaker. That was the biggest waste of my time and money that I've ever experienced. Had lil' donnie not inherited his wealth he would be selling knock-off watches on Wall Street now.

Hey einstein. No one says aunt barry is breaking a law doing this. But he is a hypocrite. Remember a few years back when dems were screeching about "income inequality"?
 
Obviously you have no clue as to the subject matter and meaning of what reasonably intelligent people are referring when discussing "income inequality." All you have to do is try just a little and maybe you won't look so damned stupid.

Obama, like Clinton has been in bed with big corporations since they entered political life. The charade ran out on Clinton, and only the most clueless of all didn't think Obama's true colors would come out the minute he didn't need you anymore.

The weirdoes love to have it both ways - anyone who disagrees with them is outside the Pale, and anyone who behaves in ways they approve of is obviously a crook. A strange gang, right wing nutters!
