You'll say yes, but I'd disagree. Trump's legacy could be much more clownish than you think. I talk about the spell he casts over those who fall into it, and that's a real thing - once it breaks, which it will when he's no longer in power, there will be more of a sense of reflection among those who turned a blind eye to his absurdity. Even those who are currently most covered in drool.
You'll also discount the importance of POTUS as a role model, since you don't care about that stuff and you'd probably prefer to see the world devolve into a place where basic courtesies and respect are things of the past, but most people want to maintain the basics in those areas. And yeah - Clinton isn't a role model. But look at his legacy - he's probably remembered more for Monica than for presiding over a tremendous run of peace & prosperity.
I think a smart man would measure his words and stop using such inflammatory language when talking about defense. But alas, we're stuck with trump's chest pounding.
Righties are always bleating that Country X, Y or Z wants to wipe Israel off the map, but have no problem saying it's okay for the US to wipe a country off the map.

The one thing recent politics has taught me is that the belief in democracy overcoming all odds, or that discourse has a specific arrow, or that we are all working to a greater good is complete bullshit. it's a myth. we are all slaves to the deep state.
