"Mueller just obtained a warrant that could change the entire nature of the Russia investigation"

"Robert Mueller, the FBI special counsel, reportedly obtained a search warrant for records of the "inauthentic" accounts Facebook shut down earlier this month and the targeted ads these accounts purchased during the 2016 election."

"Legal experts say the revelation has enormous implications for the trajectory of the FBI's investigation into Russia's election interference and into whether Moscow had any help from President Donald Trump's campaign team."

"This is big news — and potentially bad news for the Russian election interference 'deniers,'" said Asha Rangappa, a former FBI counterintelligence agent."

""The key here, though, is that Mueller clearly already has enough information on these accounts — and their link to a potential crime to justify forcing [Facebook] to give up the info," she said. "That means that he has uncovered a great deal of evidence through other avenues of Russian election interference."

"It also means Mueller is no longer looking at Russia's election interference from a strict counterintelligence standpoint — he now thinks he may be able to obtain enough evidence to charge specific foreign entities with a crime."

"It is a crime to know that a crime is taking place and to help it succeed. That's aiding and abetting," he said. "If any Trump associate knew about the foreign contributions that Mueller's search warrant focused on and helped that effort in a tangible way, they could be charged."

When it is all said in done, somebody is going to have to take the fall, any bets on who?

So Legion Troll would have us believe that pure speculation is a something burger.

:rofl2:

Well,. I don't know, when an investigating body goes as far as getting a search warrant it usually means they feel they have pretty good evidence that a crime was committed, and it isn't me that is doing the speculation, rather two creditable sources

So a search warrant is proof of a crime committed?

So a search warrant is proof of a crime committed?

No, even though conservatives had Hillary guilty of all kinds of things and none of the umpteen investigations even went as far as a search warrant

It doesn't make anyone guilty, but it does show the investigation is moving on to a more serious phase when they go after specific evidence they feel exists proving that a crime has been committed

As the sources note, could be a game changer, especially considering the raiding of Manaford's residence the week before

LOL, kid you are delusional if you think that Facebook ads influenced the electoral college........................

Think about it, Trump was elected by the electoral college, not nincompoops on facebook

Oh I see, they did it too

YAWN

I still don't understand the nature of the crime that was allegedly committed. Somebody set me straight. What I think is going on here is Russia purchased pro-Trump ads on social media? Is that right? And the Angus beef in this something burger is that the Trump team knew about it? Are you saying Trump paid for the ads? That's ludicrous, not to mention it defies logic! And WTF is this shit?: "It is a crime to know that a crime is taking place and to help it succeed. That's aiding and abetting," How would the Trump team "help it succeed"?

I can't wait for Mueller to issue a subpoena for Putin. It will be right after Pelosi brings her DACA bill to the floor for a vote
