I get the oppression side. For example, even though I don't feel much of anything, one way or another, about the Confederate flag, I understand some people might find it offensive, so I wouldn't put one in the back of my pickup truck.

That said, the poll numbers seem indicate most people are like me. A strong majority feels the monuments should be left alone---and get this, even the majority of blacks 44% vs 40% think they should be left alone.

You're a poll enthusiast, right? What do those numbers tell you?

They tell me that this 'issue' is being driven by a vocal minority. And I venture to say the majority of these are white progressives.
