was a time in America when any school shooting would be considered horrific, but today it passes as just another news item, as a nation with some much gun violence we have become desensitized to shootings of any kind

America has more guns in circulation than people living in the US, so why is it that conservatives tell us more guns make us safer when we still have one of the highest if not highest gun violence death rates in the world?

The exact opposite occurs in those nations with less gun ownership, now why do you suppose that is?

The shooting had nothing to do with guns.

The shooting is a reflection of the screwed up world young people are living in. When facebook carries enough weight to cause someone to kill themselves because of bullying, or ids can get attention by live streaming a suicide, it's time to look at what kids are doing to themselves, and the parents and teachers who coddle them.

Once it is gun free then no gun is allowed. They put up signs and everything.

Authorities responding to a report of a shooter at an Ohio high school say they arrested a student and took a gun, and no one was hurt.

Police say Adan Abdullahi was charged with improperly discharging a firearm in a school safety zone following Friday's incident.

Authorities say additional charges could be filed later. The 18-year-old Abdullahi didn't appear in online court records and it is unclear if an attorney has been appointed yet to represent him.

The school is several miles south of downtown Columbus and describes itself as designed to serve "emotionally disturbed" students in grades six to 12.

Police Chief Kim Jacobs says initial information indicated a school employee talked with and helped calm the armed male, later identified as Abdullahi.
