We could have hired a crew to clean up the tree in our back-yard, but instead I cut it up and the kids are in the process of dragging it to the street. I could have paid for a whole house generator like the neighbors... but I dont need/want every little bit of comfort. To me, this is a GREAT experience for the kids.

To a thin skinned whiner like IHA, being without power for even a few HOURS is unacceptable.

That he'd have evacuated just because the power went out is astounding.
 
I love how GayRod is trying to pass off his bad decisions as a way to teach his kids how to rough it. I don't buy his lies. All he describes could have been done without a hurricane. He knowingly put his kids lives at risk. And now he is dissembling to try to justify it. He is a shitty parent and his kids should be removed

Eight elderly people died in the heat while Citizen Jarod chauffeured his kids to air-conditioned comfort, Zappacrite.

Why didn't Citizen Jarod open his office to them and save their lives, Zappacrite?

No one knew they were dying outside of the nursing home staff..
If Jarod did know and did nothing then you would have a place to say something to him...
Jarod knew no more about them than you did.
No one at the nursing home called 911 when the AC failed, that is why they are dead...
The staff is responsible, not Jarod.

If Citizen Jarod really cared he would have checked on the elderly who were dying in the heat. He didn't.

After all, liberals faulted Pastor Osteen for not opening Lakewood Church even though nobody had asked him to, so Citizen Jarod must also be condemned for his uncaring callousness.
