Who presided over the WOT during Obama's eight long years in office? Did he call it off when no one was looking? I seem to recall ISIS coming into power and setting up their caliphate under Obama.

Before he was *finally* motivated to do something about it.

We treat terrorism like it's a country, and also as though there are a finite # of terrorists.

We really go about it all wrong. I don't know the answers, but I know our current strategy is counter-productive to our goals. We're not addressing the root causes of terrorism.

The root cause has two words: radical Islam.

That's like saying communism or Nazism has a 'root cause'. Fundamentally, it's an ideological struggle. Not saying words 'radical Islam', as a matter of policy, is beyond goofy.
