A lot of these homes were built in floodplains and should have not been built there in the first place?!! How long will we continue to pay for this idiocy?

I notice that not a single word has been said about any kind of claim denials for the properties in the keys, bahamas, virgin islands, or coastal florida........maybe because they are at least half blue??????

things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm

I must say I'm shocked, a government program Ken doesn't like. The article is correct; the gov't is enabling the behavior with this program.

It's called moral hazard. You support it with your big gobblement ways. Suck it up buttercup.

I want your taxes raised to pay for it. Mine won't get raised. I live off of capital gains and dividends now. I am taxed at a low rate that will never go up because there are so many rich democrats that won't let it. So suck it asswipe. Pay up.

El Oh El, better building codes is an experience in lawlessness? Unreal

Texas should learn land use laws from California in how to make housing more expensive and un affordable.

I am amused when people stupidly believe that regulations or flood control channels are going to prevent natural disasters. More proof what a bunch of morons mankind have become.
