"Sen. Richard Blumenthal said Thursday there are “gaps” in Donald Trump Jr.’s closed-door testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, and that he expects President Donald Trump's son to return for a public hearing before the panel"

"President Donald Trump’s eldest son told the judiciary panel that he accepted the meeting — which was billed as a chance to get dirt on Hillary Clinton — because he wanted to learn about Clinton’s “fitness” for the presidency. He said in his opening statement that nothing ever came of the meeting, but that he would have sought legal counsel before using any damaging information provided by the Kremlin-linked lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya."

Difficult to determine which is the most absurd;

"... he accepted the meeting because he wanted to learn about Clinton's fitness for the presidency," or, "he would have sought legal counsel before using any damaging information provided by the Kremlin-linked lawyer"

Tell me the White House wouldn't be shitting their pants if Donald had to appear before a televised public hearing, they ain't Hannity

There are gaps because the committee allowed Donnie Jr to testify without being sworn in.

He was free to lie his ass off and he did just that.

I am not anything, just stating the facts, but yes, I would love to see Junior infront of the cameras in a public hearing, and it is the last thing the White House would want, it ain't one of his father's reality TV shows

What's there to be said that hasn't already been covered?

All the parties involved claim the meeting had nothing to do with the election---does anyone have evidence to the contrary?

I am OK with whatever Mueller has the authority to do, and will accept the verdict of any judicial proceeding that may result.

I trust Trump.

Shocking, a conservative doesn't want to see or hear anything that might not conform to his view of the world, it's no mystery why demagoguery is such a success on the right

I want to see whatever transpires.

You, on the other hand, aren't so interested in allowing Comey the chance to clear his name of the shadow of perjury, are you?

Has the White House issued a statement to that effect, or are you indulging in a fantasy?

And "all the parties involved" have claimed a number of things regarding the meeting, Junior himself has had several different narratives of the event, to date no one knows what transpired, but we do know they met with the Russian Gov't thereby directly involving the Kremlin in the US election

Easy, "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change; specifically : such a philosophy calling for lower taxes, limited government regulation of business and investing, a strong national defense, and individual financial responsibility for personal needs (such as retirement income or health-care coverage)"
