No, it isn't. Because you're extending it to EVERYONE on the left - millions of people. And Trump is in a position of leadership - the highest position of leadership, actually. What he does & says has enormous symbolic value.

it's the exact same logic in that the scenario is the same.
logic is either followed or a different scenario is run. The same logic applies to all or it's a different scenario/logic trail.

Politicians are all that matter in terms of being Democrats/left listened to voices. It's what is called newsworthy.

However in these times where one must always speak out ( silence is acquiescence ) & acquiescence being defined
as "the reluctant acceptance of something without protest" if you don't speak out you are easily labeled a racist

What is the disconnect here? Do those on the right really have complete amnesia about the Obama years?

Let me give you a quick refresher. For starters, let's acknowledge that there was no right-wing "Antifa", at least in terms of the vandalism and violence. But let's also acknowledge that Antifa is a fringe group, that hardly defines Democrats or "the left."

So, let's get on to the important stuff: Obama faced nothing but relentless efforts to obstruct, undermine and discredit him from the day he was inaugurated. The leader of Congress actually expressed obstructionism as a stated goal, and the GOP's strategy to win elections. The birther movement was not a "fringe" effort - it was actually led by the current sitting President, and many Republicans chimed in w/ some sort of innuendo and "doubt" along the way.

And there was a much more insidious and widespread effort to constantly portray Obama as an "other" - something not quite American. Certainly, there was some racism behind this, but also just opportunism for many on the right. The "Barack Hussein Obama" stuff, the whisper campaigns about his religion and other aspects of his personality. This wasn't one or 2 politicians on the right - again, this was day in & day out, from politicians, followers and talk radio.

Those on the left - by virtue of their superior moral intentions - are exempt from petty standards.

Politicians aren't even "the left." You're moving the goalposts here - and trying to retreat from your claim.

And it's what you've been doing since you made the claim. If you're going to stand by it, present a real defense for it - otherwise, just say that you misspoke.

The left owns Antifa. Not just in the USA, either. Antifa has long been internationally active.
