New hurricane to follow

Do not knock yourself out trying to predict a hurricanes path just yet. Though it is admirable that you are keeping up with it!

LOL. Yep, I know. I've always loved maps and storms, following them up to that 4 or 5 day window where the TV weathermen can put up the same figures I am getting from the real-time info. They see what I'm seeing now, but they don't like to drag people through all these changes until they get in that shorter window of landfall...I can't blame them. They can't be dragging everybody through all these changes. I took meteorology in college and have always loved following storms.

the electricity..it gets hot and humid, and I get cranky, and my animals get cranky, and then my sister who refuses to stay alone in her house with her animals all get cranky...and sticky..and bored..arguments break out..and we get cranky all over again..and sticky..*blech*

Plus I'm worried about my roof - although the live oak that was hanging overmy back window got trimmed this year....

Hope it falls right on your stupid Nazi head and kills you. You can't hurt anyone anymore after you've stopped moving, you Nazi animal.

I hope you get a dozen hurricanes this year. I hope you and every one of your stupid Nazi spawn get the justice they deserve. I hope your whole family dies. I hope everyone in your county dies, all your friends, all your family, everyone you know and love.

Comrade Watermark fancies himself the great black hope, or maybe it's the Maoists reconstructed after 50 years of being discredited....

Some worthless ideology //who knows // nobody even cares anymore

Watermark is insane as usual today. Just another day of racist lunacy.

Now you went and ruined everything.

Didn't you notice that no one was responding to or even mentioning him??

Now he'll just feel entitled and emboldened to continue. :palm:

Of course Nomad, Buckly, and others will now feel it's necessary to encourage him.

Another spaghetti model

Still can't read, eh? I said it contained pork as per your linked article. :palm:
Nope. That's not what you said. Too late to back pedal now.

Stretch said:
Blah blah blah.............we've been through all that. It was loaded with pork

Now about those terrifying words........

Are you going to hold your hands out or not?

I mentioned earlier that Irma's changed her mind again.

Sunday, 9/10 around 8am looks like landfall from the south in Miami (Dade City/Homestead area).
135mph sustained; 155mph gusts

Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie counties will be hammered.

Dade, Broward & Palm Beach counties will be clear of the worst by maybe 5pm.

Center of the state (Orlando) looks like 70mph sustained. Strongest winds seem to remain offshore and the SE side of the eye at 120mph. The worst there should pass by Mon., 10/11 at 7am.

The rest of us from The Villages>north will see maybe 40-50mph sustained with the storm entering GA around noon.

OOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Good. Then we agree. The Sandy relief was not full of pork.

24 billion dollars of the allocated funds weren’t expected to be spent until 2016 or after.

The hurricane, for reference, was in 2012. According to CBO, nearly 4 billion of the spending in that bill didn’t even pretend to be for emergencies: 3.459 billion was actually designated as non-emergency spending.

The bill itself is here: https://www.congress.gov/113/plaws/publ2/PLAW-113publ2.pdf

Here's the CBO finding: https://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/files/summarydrappropact2013-hr152-passedhouse00.pdf

Here are some things you will find if you read all of the above (you won't), including specific spending in the Sandy relief bill that has nothing to do with emergency needs or disaster relief:

16,000,000,000 dollars for Community Development Block Grants (11 billion higher than HUD was requesting at the time)
600,000,000 for State and Tribal Assistance Grants under the EPA
348,000,000 for “construction” for the National Park Service
100,000,000 for Head Start
50,000,000 for the Historic Preservation Fund at the NPS
45,000,000 for upgrades to NOAA aircraft
22,000,000 for upgrading NOAA weather equipment
50,000,000 for “construction” for Fish and Wildlife Services
24,000,000 for the Defense Working Capital Fund
10,000,000 to Small Business Administration to plus up grants to organizations seeking to participate in disaster relief
4,400,000 for “capital improvement” to the Forestry Service
3,000,000 for oil spill research
2,000,000 for the Smithsonian’s famously leaky roofs.
1,000,000 for new cars for the DEA.
1,000,000 to the Legal Services Corporation.
