Yes boys and girls, there will never be anymore golden age for America?!! America's best days are behind us! And there is nothing Trump can do about either?!! We're in a permanent state of inequality now!

Trump: "The economy does better under Democrats than Republicans"

Donald was absolutely right when he told Wolf Blitzer in 2004: “I’ve been around for a long time and it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans.”

Top academics and journalists have confirmed this. The same thing I’ve been compiling cold, hard government data on since 1980: By crucial metrics like GDP, job creation, business investment and avoiding recessions, the economy does a lot better with Democrats in the White House than with Republicans.

Just one eye-opening example: Nine of the last 10 recessions have been under Republicans.

The author does lay out well the post WWII events that were in play globally. But count America short at your own risk

So, it's all just an accident, a twist of fate that the economy under post-world war 2 Democratic presidents tended, by almost all metrics, to be better than under Republican presidents?

And Trump was wrong in saying the economy performs better under Democrats?

I actually don't even need to put my faith in what you say, or what this Forbes article says. I just have to trust what I see with my own eyes, my own life experience. Generally, the Clinton economy was better than the Bush 1 economy or the Raygun economy; the Obama economy was better than the Bush 2 economy (accounting especially for the disaster he inherited from Bush); and we will have to wait to see what happens with Trump because right now he is benefiting largely from the Obama economy he inherited.

Did you read the article?

cowacka

its a fact

the economy does better under Democratic admins.

the republicans just claim the label of the fiscal party

they repet and repet until fools like you believe it .

it is based on lies

The republican party isnthe wealthy fuck party

their economic ideas are designed to cause a boom and bust economy.

rich people love it

regular joes get bled in a boom and bust economy

SUSTAINABLE GROWTH is the key

pretending we can FLY at 3 or more precent growth all the time is insane

only idiots buy that one

If we eliminate technology and have another world war and drop some nukes on people we can create the same conditions that produced the "golden age"

Reading this article for a third time. Interesting the author used the term entitled to describe those thinking they deserve a middle class life.

If I could predict what the U.S. econony will look like in several decades I'd be a gazillionaire but clearly I'm not. Ultimately our schooling system is going to have to prepare the next generation to not only live but thrive in a technology driven globalized world

If we toss out the illegals and end affirmative action thus forcing non-whites and women to achieve on merit ... Then we could have another golden age.

Unknowable. It could. Trump certainly won't help the prospects for a gilded age redux in the near term by scuttling R&D and biotech grants and mothballing climate science and a host of other Luddite policy
choices his retarded base insists upon. I see no space race, or .com innovation, or windows, or industrial revolution in the offing with retrograde potus. A hundred years of this idiot would in the best case hurtle
civilization into a dystopian 13th century abyss, if not end it altogether.

Hopefully the US population will not double down on extinction in 2020.

It was the war policies of our racist Presidents FDR and Truman that allowed for our gilded age.
