I'm just trying to understand are (white) women not as smart as men and thus need additional points when applying to colleges today?

I'm looking right now for the results of Prop 209 based on gender. It has generally been written about based only on race

Prop 209 eliminated race and gender from the admissions equation and at the two top schools Cal and UCLA women still outnumber men. So how does that show (white) women still need AA in 2017?

And BAC, I come from a family where my mom has her MBA, my sister has a master's and my wife has a master's. They are all smart women.
