BOYCOTT CNN MSNBC ESPN - cut the Cable Cord

I have a 2 year FIOS contract with internet only (50mps) for $60 per month.

For phone, an OBI110 box combined with free "google voice" might suffice.
LIveOps (my job as informercial operator) sez we need a hardwired landline and hard wired cable..
I can't find a cheaper way....no Skype..although that might work

Some of it, like the Super Bowl, can be picked up with old fashioned rabbit ears.

I'm not a major league fan, but I understand you can get espn using a roku-like box such as the a95x. And I've been hearing about IPTV services which cost about $30 per year that can also be used in combination with the boxes to access everything.

I'm not as tech savy as I wish I was but yeah I've heard there are multiple ways to stream live events without having to order cable.

I watch ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, et al. I watch and listen to Hannity, Limbaugh, even Levin.

Grow up, snowflakes. You afraid someone might change your opinions?

That's just self torture. Life is much better without watching cable news.

I understand that rabbit ears will pick up digital broadcasts.
probably, although that is an old diode type antenna designed for analog - HD is much more a straight line broadcast and you need more of a pad design ( which is why i sell the adapter called Clear TV)

Google Voice is a free VOIP service that runs over your internet connection. Don't know if it would help.

not yet.. we are agitating for VOIP.. the company thinks it's insecure for voice transfer....

I'm supposed to be in an upcoming interview in the NYTimes (blog) regarding LO's-
maybe i;ll try to leverage that to agitate for change..the place is a dinosaur, it would really help

I cut the cord 2 years ago. Anything I really like watching is on Netflix or Youtube. Aaaaaaaahhhhh freedom! LOL

I go to Hulu for entertainment. Nowadays you have to do a lot of digging to verify news, so no one source will do. CNN however is something that isn't even on my radar. ESPN, why even go there? What is it they have to offer?
