Not disagreeing with you assessment of Trump but Presidents have always held rallies to promote their agenda. This isn't something new

Especially in the days when stump speeches were literally on the stump, voters would certainly recognize this activity. It's fun to see Stirfry check-in with a WTF reaction, though.
