Don't Be a Sucker! is a short film produced by the United States War Department released in 1947, adapted from an earlier, longer version from 1943. It has anti-racist and anti-fascist themes. The film was made to make the case for the desegregation of the United States armed forces.

Funny how 70 years later, the message and theme are still relevant.

A lot of right-wingers and Trumptards today could stand to take this advice.

I was not a member of the Democratic Party of 50 or 100 years ago, so that is not "my party".

I disavow ALL racism and bigotry from past generations no matter WHO engaged in it, and I do so simply by virtue of being a modern day DEMOCRAT.

That in and of itself is tantamount to disavowing racism and bigotry no matter when it occurred and no matter who engaged in it.

You support racism in modern society by being part of the political right.

No, but in the vast majority of cases, most Democrats are not racists.

Republicans, not so much.

Not all Republicans are racists, but most racists are Republicans.
