What history has been erased?

What .. without a statue in their face history won't speak of Robert E. Lee .. who never wanted confederate statues erected?

I for one never want the confederacy and it's generals forgotten. We should never forget the horrors they wrought.

The good news is that the perception of the confederacy is being redefined away from the foolish notion of noble warriors to the more truthful and realistic perception of traitors, slavers, and monsters .. and that is a history that I don't want to go away or to ever be erased.

What history class did you take? From k-12 all I learned was how bad the confederacy was and how bad slavery was. I remember seeing bloody illustrations of whipped slaves in grade school.

Why do you think so many whites are joining Antifa, and other leftist terror groups. They hate America.

I studied the same history books that you did, saw the same depictions of beaten slaves, but unlike you, I knew that much was missing in that history .. thus I've always called it his-story, not history. Missing were the real stories of many of the horrors that slaves endured, such as the rapes of children, boys and girls by slavers. Missing were the stories of the horrors endured post the slave years, such as the mass murders of Black Wall Street. I could go on .. and on, but I don't expect that you would care about the history that I care about.

Suffice it to say that this nation would not be at this point without the insanity of Donald Trump and his support for Nazis and racists. If you're looking for who is responsible for the urgency to get rid of confederate statues and memorials, look no further than your vote for THE worst president in American history.

Did you read about Indian tribes like Comanche, Cherokee and Choctaw that kept African slaves, and indeed whites and other tribes as well? Did you also read about the black slave traders in places like Louisiana and Mississippi? Or indeed, the estimated million or so former black slaves that died from starvation and diseases like smallpox and cholera in the aftermath of the war? The North liberated them so that they could die horribly whilst they did nothing!
