They are a small group of White Nationalists protesting a statue removal. Not more, not less.

Is there an official Nazi party? I honestly don't know. I don't give those people much thought. It seems they could only muster 500. So you would think they are kind of irrelevant.

They are insane, demented wannabees. Just like ANTIFA who think they are like the French resistance also from the WWII era. Both groups live in an alternate universe having found no productive purpose for their lives in the present, they dwell in the past desperately seeking personal attention and glory with some type of "hero" status. They've both been given over to reprobate minds. Dangerous thinking on both sides and need to be sent off to a deserted island somewhere together where they can practice their OCD syndrome and be shunned from society and civilization.

You nailed the psychology of it. Both of these groups are wannabes. Almost certainly, the weekend Nazis are [thankfully] incapable of committing atrocities on the scale of the Reich and if the Antifa warriors suddenly found themselves on board a troop carrier headed for Normandy, they'd be screaming 'I don't wanna play anymore!' at the tops of their lungs lol.

Both of them are engaging in a kind of romanticism. They are more dangerous to themselves than anyone else.

They should definitely be kept apart. In a more perfect world, we could go back to ignoring the wannabe Nazis and move onto tax reform or whatever.

I'm sure much of the world thinks we lost our minds.
