Getting scary now, attempting to shut down criticism, taking names,

"If you have nothing to hide then don't worry," seriously?

So your endorsing the collection of names of people who might be critical of the present Administration by that Administration's Justice Department? Taking of names is now copacetic?

Imagine if the Obama Justice Department had done the same thing, all them now silent supposed "freedom" lovers would be screaming, Hannity would have to have a double hour special

We need to determine if they are doing anything illegal. We can only do that if we investigate.

As long as you have nothing to hide don't worry. They aren't going to store the data

Oh, so the Third Reich collecting names of potential opponents was part of an investigation, Stalin must have been doing the same type of investigating when he compiled names of rivals to send off to Siberia

These are people who visited a website, perhaps even just once, why would there every be a need to collect over a million names of people who happen to click on a particular website that yet has been proven to have done anything illegal?

looks like antifa commies are ok with doxxing and silencing those they hate tho

Yes.

As long as they aren't breaking the law, how private businesses conduct themselves and who they hire and fire is their business.

The Government demanding the personal information of people who did nothing illegal is an astounding invasion of privacy...but since it's being carried out by the Trump administration, hypocritical Trumpkins will support it.

I do so love watching how eager ignorant Trump supporters are to trash the constitution.

"US government demands details on all visitors to anti-Trump protest website"

"The US government is seeking to unmask every person who visited an anti-Trump website in what privacy advocates say is an unconstitutional “fishing expedition” for political dissidents."

"On 17 July, the DoJ served a website-hosting company, DreamHost, with a search warrant for every piece of information it possessed that was related to a website that was used to coordinate protests during Donald Trump’s inauguration. The warrant covers the people who own and operate the site, but also seeks to get the IP addresses of 1.3 million people who visited it, as well as the date and time of their visit and information about what browser or operating system they used."

Now how does all the conservative who endlessly tells about their Constitutional rights, love of the Constitution, and "freedom," defend this action?

Do you think that your real name, phone number, address, credit history, and sexual orientation are not already known to the NSA?

If so you are delusional.

first of all doxxing is not legal afaik

hiring & firing people based on the creed is illegal afaik

the govt will decide if people did nothing illegal and take appropriate action

r u scared?

How do you condemn it?

"On August 4, White House aide Macon Phillips announced the launch of flag@whitehouse.gov, which encouraged Americans to report "fishy" information related to the the Obama health care proposal. Phillips' announcement was titled "Facts Are Stubborn Things."

"If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

It doesn't say to send them the name of the emailer.

A lot of information can be collected on someone through an email address.

"These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

Groups that had the words "liberal" or "progressive" in their names, or those that mentioned Israel.

So you can't name one. The fact is kid that you just make up fake news as you go. People like you elected Trump, because enough people see thru your bullshit.
