Yes - Lincoln was an extreme white supremacist

Text Drivers are Killers

Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
Here's a couple of his most famous quotes:

'Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. As long as blacks continue to live with the whites they constitute a threat to the national life. Family life may also collapse and the increase of mixed breed bastards may some day challenge the supremacy of the white man.

I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position.'

Why do our schools and press censor such quotes?

Shut up racist, you are a scourge on our country.

It is easy to review and cherrypick from a public figure's career to just about frame anything you want, I've even seen George Washimgton quotes where he viewed breaking away from Britan as traitorous, does that mean that he opposed the American Revolution?

And the reason they don't teach those quotes is because two quotes don't make up a man's life

but apparently a person living a life that millions of others did as well is justification to condemn said man??????????

that's twice you've been asked the question and deliver an insult instead of an answer. problems with your conscience, i assume?
Text is a racist, I don't plan to give him the respect of an answer, he is a scorge on the Earth and if you support him, you are as well.

Yes, their owning another human should always be condemned, it detracts greatly from their great ideas forming this nation, especially because they knew it was wrong but did it anyway.

I know he's a racist. I'm not supporting him, except for the fact that he's offering up plain and simple fact about Lincoln.

If you won't answer him, maybe you'll answer that question from me?

you have a biased and incorrect view of life back then, probably because of your limited experience or bias of living in this century. In 1770, most people back then didn't accept blacks as people, but as property. so again, do you condemn all the founding fathers because of the way that almost everyone lived????? if you do, then you're not being objective at all.

We often look back on history and judge. Most Americans did not own slaves, the educated founding fathers knew it was wrong, yet, owned them anyway. People who commit crimes throughout humanity can not be excused because everyone was doing it.

not to mention all societies went thru a period where slavery was acceptable. African societies, Asian societies, caucasian societieis etc.

You outright admit most americans did not own slaves yet you punish everyone with white skin thru affirmative action?

Yes he is a racist but those are real quotes!

Shut up, Tom. Lincoln lived in 1800's America. You have to consider the time period. He's not going to sound like an enlightened post civil-rights individual.

But he was still WAY ahead of his time on the topic. And he freed the slaves.

Lincoln did NOT free the slaves. In fact, he didn't give a damn about slavery in general.

Should we take down all historical monuments, change the name of schools etc. with Jefferson, Washington, Lincoln etc? Sort of extreme but these men were slave owners and/or racist. Viewing from today's prism their views are unacceptable.

You are guilty of the cardinal sin of Presentism, it is the first thing any would be history major learns not to do.
