I don't think they do know it nor do they have any idea how that 97% came about.

Well, that is the big problem faced by CAGW, really. When you insist that 100% of the warming of the last 150 years has been driven by CO2 you have limited yourself to only 1 knob to turn when tuning your models.

Too bad you weren't on dcj when he tried to debate me on this subject. He asked for a mathematical equation, I presented one that supported my position from a scientific paper and he then claimed it was invalid because I didn't write it on a chalkboard. Chalkboards aren't even used in elementary schools anymore (at least around here)!
Then I gave him the definition of dependent and independent variables in a scientific experiment and he was so confused that he fucked it so bad he started arguing my position and left in a huff . Classic micawber ,aka (ass)packed, aka tutonic or trolltoxic. ,
