Tesla puts CAMERAS in rear-view mirror of Model 3 to spy on YOU

Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
I suspect all the automakers do this but the media only goes after tesla.

aug 3 2017 The Tesla Model 3 has the potential to spy on you as you drive, with the automaker secretly installing a driver-facing camera in the rear view mirror of each vehicle.

The cameras, which Tesla claims are currently deactivated, could be used to monitor the driver's attention span during autonomous journeys.

Tesla has remained tight-lipped as to the purpose of the cameras, and made no mention of the devices during the firm's launch of the Model 3 last week.

fuck. can't trust anything these days. My aunt was trying to get a bunch of her family members including my dad to submit DNA to ancestry.com or one of those organizations to map a family tree/genealogy record and she collected nearly everyones but then I told my dad not to submit because he could end up in a master computer somewhere. So he heeded my advice and now the rest of the family is like wtf loll

Good thing TDAK can't afford a Tesla, so, he won't have Elon Musk spying on him.

Sent from my Windows Phone at 86 MPH

TDAK probably can't afford a microwave...

Sent from my IPhone at 98 MPH, texting with my toes, while drinking a double vodka martini...

Tesla enthusiasts are cancelling Model 3 reservations thanks to Musk’s ties to Trump

Elon Musk’s decision to join President Donald Trump’s economic advisory group isn’t sitting well with some Tesla enthusiasts. In fact, some current Model 3 reservation holders have pro-actively canceled their reservation as a way to protest*Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration.

Though hardly a widespread phenomenon, the cancellations underscore the tricky position that some tech companies with even a loose affiliation to Trump are finding themselves in.

Earlier this week, one Model 3 reservation holder and self-proclaimed Tesla fan took to Twitter and*explained why he reluctantly cancelled his*Model 3 reservation:
By serving on the President’s advisory council, and by taking positions that are apparently acquiescing to the Trump administration (such as dismissing the possibility of the repeal of the Muslim ban), Elon Musk is enabling a racist and xenophobic regime commit atrocities. This is unacceptable to me, and therefore I’ve cancelled my model 3 reservation. I will urge other reservation holders to do the same. I request that Elon please do a better job at speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves.

As another example, one former Model 3 reservation holder told Buzzfeed that Musk, especially as someone dead set on colonizing Mars, “should not be scared to voice opinions counter to the Trump administration.” In turn, the former reservation holder decided that “speaking with our dollars is really the most effective way to get through to business people.”

All that said, it’s not as if Musk has exactly been silent on the matter. Over the weekend, Musk fired off a pair of tweets expressing his dismay at Trump’s new immigration policies.

Random but we just had an engineer leave our start up to go work for ancestry.com. I wouldn't give them my DNA either

So do these people believe in Tesla or not? Probably didn't help the firm that Musk quit. Trumps vindictive ass will come after Tesla for sure. So much for the car of the future.

And Tesla fans would rather Musk be on the outside bitching with no power rather than having a say at the highest levels?

Trump is poison.

It seems they aren't worried about what Trump will do .. and it seems that they'd rather have nothing to do with anything Trump then have any input into Tesla.

Buckly is right .. Trump is poison.

It's about being able to influence policy at a very high level. To each his own if they don't want that. They won't be happy if the gov't comes after them though.

They don't give a rats ass about what Trump will do .. especially considering that he hasn't done shit since he's been in office.

Buying a car does not influence policy. NOT buying that car because of a (s)elected politician does indeed have influence.

I believe we are talking past each other but I'd still rather have someone who supports my positions in a position of influence than not.

Not interested if that person is aligned with Trump.

More important to make a statement about my disdain for Trump. Obviously many people feel the same way.

we are definitely talking past each other because i am not following you; i'll take the blame for that

No, it could very well be me brother, and if so, I apologize.

I'll start over .. I agree with divesting anything that has a relationship with Donald Trump, as it seems so do these buyers.

They don't want anything with Trump's stench on it.

I have to believe that Elon Musk is one of those boundless optimists who assumes that America will still be here when Douchebag Donald leaves office. As such, he has too many plans for the future to let this situation be more than a bump-in-the-road. Thus, sitting on advisory councils just makes sense for the man who plans to overhaul mass transit and take us to Mars.

Well said. Thats where I'm coming from. There's a bigger game here at play than just short term partisan politics and in the big picture he wants to influence what he can.

I have a friend who's a republican and was on this same economic advisory board for Obama. He did it because it was good for business and to have a voice. Sitting on the sidelines would accomplish nothing.
