The White House worked with Fox News and a wealthy Republican donor to concoct a story about the murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, according to an explosive lawsuit filed Tuesday.

The story, the lawsuit said, was part of an attempt to discredit the US intelligence community's determination that Russia hacked the Democratic National Committee and obtained a trove of emails released by Wikileaks.

For months, right-wing conspiracy theorists had floated unproven theories that Rich was the person who provided Wikileaks with the DNC emails, and suggested his death was retribution for his supposed leak. No real evidence was ever provided to support such claims. The theory, however, resurfaced in May when Fox News published a story that quoted Rod Wheeler, a Fox News contributor and former homicide detective hired to investigate Rich's death, saying there was in fact evidence showing Rich had been in contact with Wikileaks. The story quickly fell apart when Wheeler contradicted aspects of it in an interview with CNN. Fox News eventually deleted it from its website, saying in a note left in its place that it failed to meet the network's editorial standards.

I know its pretty early, but I'd really like to hear from some of the propagators of Seth Rich conspiracy bullshit. This is a BIGLY story, the Trump admin having its fingers in a scandal designed to undermine the US intelligence community.
 
I heard about it this AM on NPR.......

now back on topic, suppose you tell us your theory of what happened to Seth Rich?

just a random robbery where the perp decided to kill him cold blood, but took nothing from him?
And just a very odd coincidence that he worked for the DNC, in an IT capacity no less?

And this all happened right in the midst of hacked, leaked emails on Hillary and the DNC?

I'm curious as to your selective positions on conspiracy theories. Such as Trump colluded with the Russians is beyond a doubt yet you have heard not a shred of evidence to support it.

There might not be collusion, but I wouldn't bet on it. And there is a metric fuckton of evidence -- including an email chain that specified collusion, and which Trump is currently accused of covering up personally with a bogus story (causing his lawyers to freak out).

And I'm not saying he was murdered by someone connected to the DNC, I'm responding to the threads conspiracy theory that Trump created the conspiracy.
I submit it's worth looking into, no? Given the "coincidence" and lack of robbery motivation. most robbers steal stuff after they kill you is a reasonable statement.

I remember watching an interview with Seth's poor parents where they asked them why they hadn't hired a private investigator to look into it further and the poor parents responded "because private investigators are very expensive". Just seems sad that given the circumstance somebody in the government couldn't look into it. Just reading in the article that "The DC police have 100% debunked the conspiracy theory that he was killed in connection with the DNC emails leaks" is sickening. What does that even mean, "they have 100% debunked".

I mean it should be obvious it wasn't a robbery gone bad, they shot him in the back, he was laying on his face dying with money in his wallet and jewelry on.
And given his connection to the DNC email stuff. Would it not be a reasonable question that maybe he knew something he shouldn't know?
Are we that naïve to dismiss the possibility that they would DARE do that.

to me, this sounds like the deep state is getting very scared, especially about the awan stuff. Another anon plaintiff pushing a bullshit narrative that will go nowhere. It's meant to be another distraction. This is 100% fake news.

I read an article that talked about how every time Trump has something good happen there is some "mysterious" leak that ends up being nothing. It is all coordinated by the Deep State. This is less about taking out Trump than it is sending a message to any other non establishment person with thoughts of running for office "think twice"
