VENTURA, Calif. (KABC) -- Three people were killed after a wrong-way driver sped into oncoming traffic and slammed into another car on the 101 Freeway in Ventura.

The wreck occurred on the southbound 101 Freeway near the Seaward Avenue exit around midnight Thursday.

A California Highway Patrol officer witnessed the driver getting on the freeway in the wrong direction. The officer said a black Toyota Scion was traveling at a very high rate of speed - close to 100 mph.

The officer tried to keep pace with the car on the other side of the freeway, but it was too late. The Scion collided head-on with a Nissan with two people inside. The driver of the Scion and the two people inside the Nissan were all pronounced dead at the scene.

The man and woman inside the Nissan were from the Riverside area, and the person inside the Scion was from Santa Paula, according to CHP. Their identities were not immediately released

Those evil ass cars are as bad as those evil ass guns....no? Perhaps owning a car should be subject to more regulations.... I hear no left wing calls to outlaw automobiles. Why? Reality: Its people that kill people...not the tools... they (the people) are to stupid, incompetent, high...etc., to operate with common sense. Most any tool can be made into a weapon of death. Just ask the terrorists around the globe who are now using automobiles to murder countless hundreds of people.

Do you really expect the left leaning media to report the deaths caused by things other than guns? Where's the talking point against the constitution and how antiquated it is?

Automobiles are necessary. Guns are not.

Automobiles could be made to go no faster than 55 mph if the idiot public would allow it.

You can't make guns shoot slower or less deadly bullets.

Stupid is as STUPID DOES or in this case "says". Do you really believe that Laws have the magical power to stop crime? If that were true there would be no murder, no crime....and the Law would stop all gun violence as the good Lord knows there are enough unenforced laws on the books that attempt to regulate a guaranteed constitutional right.

Object lesson: Has the over-regulation of GUNS stopped murder in the large liberal cities like Chicago? Of course not....the murder rate is now exponentially greater because the citizens are now unarmed and must depend upon the police to stop bullets in mid-air(some response time..no?). Did that 35-45-65-70 MPH law on the books stop that idiot from doing over 100 MPH and killing others? What makes you assume that a 55 MPH law would have stopped it from happening?

Do you really think and reason in the manner that you just demonstrated? STUPIDLY! The reason that laws work is due to the morality or lack thereof of the people that live and die under those laws. Laws reflect morality...they do not establish it. A law is nothing but a suggestion. There are moral laws and immoral laws....but laws are only as powerful as those who accept them...laws have no power of dominion over criminals or "inanimate" objects.

Today's liberal word of the day.

S N O W F L A K E: Term Origination, form the fictional story, "fight club", indicating that each member of the club is SPECIAL and UNIQUE. Today the term embodies any left winger that projects himself or herself as special and intelligent while assuming others can't appreciate their uniqueness because all others are just too stupid...the world revolves around every breath of air projected from their little protected mouths...as they eventually melt into the mob of other flakes that surround them...all of them special, unique and protected in their little liberal bubble...divorced from reality...as demonstrated above.

Imagine thinking that criminality can be legislated away by the all powerful government. Laugh My Proverbial Ass Off. :palm: Morality begins and ends at HOME: if you want to correct the course of this ship...dust off the Bible found laying on your granny's coffee table....read it, comprehend it....LIVE IT.

then take them away from cops.

Necessary is a relative term, what this snowflakes does not comprehend is the fact that the right to bear arms is a guaranteed right for all American Citizens. (as established by SCOTUS precedent over and over again) If he wants to take away all guns...why are the criminals still armed? He advocates doing away with the constitution by his own logic or lack thereof. And how has humanity survived for over 5000 years previous without automobiles if they are "necessary" to human survival?

Conclusion: Snowflakes argue in order to hear their own head rattle.

WA DOT (WSDOT, aka Whiz Dot), disagrees with you. The brain trust is pretty certain you can get by with busses, trains, and the monorail.

Maybe, but it would be highly impractical and inconvenient especially in less populated suburban and rural areas.

A very strong case can be made for the practical need for personal transportation in the US.

Guns serve almost no important or necessary purpose for the vast majority of people.

TL/DR.

Lot of your time and effort wasted for nothing there, RETARD.

I think if they hear you say "need for personal transportation," they shoot you.

Anyway, the founders thought that guns serve the practical purpose of fending off tyranny, which is basically in the interest of all people.

Nonsense.

As has been brought to the attention of strutting little gun nuts so many times before... your pansy ass little pop guns would be nothing against the hardware of the US military if they were ever unleashed on the citizens of this country.

But the idea of that happening is so far beyond ridiculous it's not even worth speculating about.

Guns are mostly useless. Automobiles are a necessity and a fact of modern day life.

Try taking the bus to work, grocery shopping and everywhere else you need to go in an average week.

Your argument is specious.

Those same retards said we couldn't defeat the greatest fighting force on Earth in 1776. They also said the same about the Vietnamese against the US arsenal. Defeatists like you should just stop calling yourselves Americans, and move to Canada.

:can:

And the Seattle establishment says you're wrong about automobiles.

:blah::blah::blah::blah::blah::blah:

But YOU know I'm right.

You're just too gutless to admit it.

I have history, the United States Constitution, and the Federalist Papers. Whatchu got, Canuck?

What do history, the United States Constitution, and the Federalist Papers say about whether or not automobiles are a necessary part of life in modern America, ThreeDERP?
