The healthcare vote today at 2:30

But how is the circus over just ""motion to proceed with debate" an achievement? Their not repealing anything, and certainly not replacing anything, so why would it be considered winning?

And the mere fact they had to bring back McCain and call in Pence to break a tie in the very body they totally control seems more embarrassing than anything else

Show us what they have accomplished

What's your problem? It's a process. Now there will be discussions and amendments. Better than, "We have to pass Obamacare so we can find out what's in it." With all 50 Dems voting NAY, what did they accomplish other than showing their approval of Obama's 'ram it through' way of doing things?

Just a start.

Keep crying, bitch.

So after seven years and six months of total control their at "a start?" Really?

At that rate how long do you think it will be before they actually attain something that comes close to repealing and replacing the ACA?

It took Obama 17 months to get a final deal...even he had to start somewhere. :palm: Get over it.

The ACA went thru full Committee hearings and floor debate over the course of seven months, this beginning of a "process" as you labeled it isn't even at the offset of that stage, and it's been seven and half years in the making. That's not an achievement by any standard

So, it's out with the old in with the new, patience is a virtue, good things come to those who wait, he who laughs last laughs loudest..
there's more but somebody stop me:)

look, yes there's still work to do, and Lisa MurKowski and Susan Collins are going to be looking for a job.

You kidding, last November I knew the circus to follow, and it hasn't disappointed yet

And after getting thru with all the corny cliches your still stuck with the promise that it all was going to be done on day one, and now, six months later, your all giddy with a "start," that sure is a new understanding of "winning"

And the President promised you it would all be accomplished on day one, and you believed him, how does it feel to be played?

Do stop. What do you care? Really. It'll be done when it's done. Alllllllllllllllllllllll of it was never promised to be accomplished on day 1. You don't like the guy anyway, so go relax and enjoy your life.

so did Congress throw up a hairball? *gak* Is is going to get up off it's worthless butt and actually do something?
( besides counterproductive sanctions and perpetual investigations)

Oh, my bad, not exactly day one, but "immediately," guess I thought "immediately" didn't mean the "start," let me repeat, the "start," the beginning, the outset, would come six months later

And as for the "it'll be done," debatable, if it took them this long to get it started what makes you think they will even conclude

Big win for Republicans. They wheeled McCain to DC and now you can debate the propriety of taking healthcare from your own voters. LMAO

Not easily, mere fact it took them this long just to get a start on health care ought to be a signal, and they got the budget and debt ceiling beginning to resurface in September. The entertainment has just begun

Actually, it McConnell can function the pressure he knows that in 2018 the GOP stands a good chance given the races that he should pick up a number of additional seats and make thinks a whole lot easier for his agenda. Problem is the President doesn't understand that the political world isn't business, patience pays off
