US and British girls are the fattest in the world

I'm guessing that you say this in jest but having helped to care for a couple of family members with Alzheimer's I'm right there with you. I don't want my body to outlast my mind. It's so taxing on the family. My mom and my brother both died suddenly and unexpectedly and while it is tough dealing with that it's nothing like the heartache of trying to help the relatives we've had with Alzheimer's.

I feel for you. Alzheimer's patients are notoriously healthy in every other respect, so they tend to last a long time after diagnosis. And its nothing but pain for their loved ones.

Only half in jest. I really want Trump gone.

Note, and I will preface this with saying as usual, liberal policies promoted by Democrats and opposed by Republicans offer solutions. So, as usual, $&@#% Republicans!

Democrats want labeling of ingredients on food, such as sucrose and glucose and every manner of sugar, and carcinogen etc. Democrats like fast food establishments to post calories, and limit sizes of sugary drinks. Republicans oppose any of that. Democrats want kids to have vigorous activities and promote health a la Michele Obama, Republicans knock all that stuff.

And you really think, that stuff will make a significant difference?

And I think you messed this line up...
Democrats want to eat cheetos and a diet full of red meat so you are guaranteed colon cancers and diabetes.

Basically, Republicans hate education, don't care about science, want everyone to lie in the sun with crisco slopped all over or watch TV and they just suck ass while we liberals are eating fish and veggies and running marathons and having awesome sex.

LOusy suck €£¥ Republican jerks! You've made us a fat country.[/QUOTE]

^^^^Mostly baloney.^^^^

It's not a democrat/republican thing or even a liberal/conservative thing when it comes to weight.

Thanks and I agree with your last sentence....a lot. I'm tired already.

It's simple enough, too many people just eat shit all the time and have no idea how to cook healthy food.

Great! We know what the problem is, now what do we DO about it?

You didn't answer it because you're the typical left wing, NL, cowardly Liberal.

It's a simple yes or no. Can you answer?

So let me get this straight, you're asking if I said something that I clearly didn't say? I guess the answer would HAVE to be no then wouldn't it?

You specifically said, "what do WE (capitalized for emphasis) do about it?" Who is we? Is we the government? Why does "we" have to do anything about it. Shouldn't it be the individual?

Yes, individuals should be responsible for their own diet and exercise. However we already know that millions of individuals aren't making good choices, and it's negatively affecting the ones that are (putting strain on our healthcare system for one example). So what do WE (as a nation) do about it?

WE, as a nation, can't do anything about it when INDIVIDUALS make bad choices. It's not that individuals should be responsible for their own diet and exercise, it's that individual ARE responsible for it whether they make good or bad choices. What that means is INDIVIDUALS are going to have to make better choices, something you, and what may surprise you I, don't believe they will, on their own. Unless they do it on their own, the only way the WE gets involved is if the government is the WE.

It's like Bigdog said in Post #34 - "People DO know how to eat right and exercise ... they just don't want to." If they don't want to, what do you propose WE, as a nation, do without involving the government as the WE?

When dumbasses call 911 because the local fat food restaurant doesn't have chicken nuggets, what do WE as a nation do about it?
