Feeling a shift...

Imo, and you can be as dismissive as you want about this, but I think that Trump's support is hardened because his voters are in a "this is war" mindset, due to the media and Russia. I saw this on the left w/ Bill Clinton. I genuinely don't think that - in a vacuum - most would say they truly support what Trump is doing right now or what kind of President he is. They simply do not want to cede anything to liberals, elites & the media.

He can't win another election w/ just his hardcore supporters, though. Indies who were just voting against Hillary or voting for a single issue aren't going to go for this too much longer. "Trump fatigue" will be a real thing in a year or 2.

And yeah - that's a prediction. Just like the many I've made that have panned out perfectly.

look it's impossible to predict an election 4 years out, lots of things can change, numbers can go up and down. however I recently saw that trump still has the majority of support in all counties he won in 2016. Meaning even today he'd still have a good shot of winning the election.

i also don't dispute much of the "dug in" mentality. But I dno't think that's exclusive to trump supporters.

how many people go on facebook to argue politics with their cousins and aunts? I think i'd want to kill myself.

you are THAT relative jarod. So arrogant to assume everyone gives a fuck about your stupid opinions.

Aruging about politics on a political site is far different, everyone comes into with the full expectation of what is being discussed.

Doing it on facebook is so unbelievably arrogant, no one gives a fuck about your opinions, they want to look at vacation photos and play farmville or whatever else it is people do on facebook.
I disagree, there are many people who talk politics on fb, Tom does it all the time, cawacko has friends that do. I have two accounts one for my politics, one for family, friends and pictures. I have quite a few friend who write blogs and are reporters for different periodicals, I keep up with their writings on fb.

I choose not to ruin people's FB experience by posting politics. Instead, I hang-out on a website called Just Plain Politics for that.

How do you know that, have you been stalking me?

You comment on it all the time on here, your mate said, this, a lady friend posted blah, blah. I have no interest in your private life, never been to your fb page, never will.
Ok Doris take a chill pill! I was just trying to wind you up and succeeding, I might add.

I was watching FOX news last, mostly they were upset that the Juice is getting out of prison, but they seem also to be upset at Rump.

Is there a shift, I can feel it I think. My wacko Rump friends are very silent on Facebook when I lampoon Rump, they are not breathlessly defending him anymore.

It appears Rush and Hannity are firmly pro-Rump, but they are shifting to be very upset at the Republican Party, they are almost less Republicans anymore and more pro-Rump. They almost seem to hate the Republicans more than the Democrats lately.

Has the Rump phenom jumped the shark, like the W infatuation did, only much earlier in the Administration? I am thinking the failure to accomplish health care illustrated that the emperor has no cloths. Are we about to see Rump drop another 5-7 pts in the popularity polls? What will emerge from the mess the Republican party is in? Will McConnel become the major opposition to Rump? Will we finally get a viable third party, called the Rumppers?

May be they are a bit more balanced than everyone gives them credit for. Could also be they are the same rats who always check if a ship is listing...just in case.

So far the sensible advice has been to never underestimate Trump, I have no reason to doubt that is still the case.
