I agree, but in case you haven't noticed .. we instigate many of those conflicts because we make money off war and conflict.
Indeed. Stepping back from that can only be a good thing, right?

I'm not saying don't be in Asia,i'm saying we don't always to be in the lead role or organizer.
In the case of the South China Sea, the littoral states are unable to stand upto the Chinese Navy -
so we need to be fully engaged.
In the central Asian "stan" countries, we are outsiders ad the Islamic state can organize themselevs, or partner w/Russia if the wish.
Russia is making great inroads to commercial ties in Afghanistan. If we ever get tired enough of bleeding there
and pull out -Russia will be the superpower/economic partner -China to a lessor extent
..India and the sub-continent are of course different.
Indeed. Stepping back from that can only be a good thing, right?
well you were so fair to Obama huh
do nyou forget your people voted against their own written and sponsered bills when Obama said he would sign them
that is called party over country
now you shits cant even get a bill to the president for him to sign
what gives
well Russia is in Afghanistan in a big way. military too. it's their 'sphere' not ours.I agree with some of that, but nothing about Russia .. which is rife with its own internal problems.
In those two cases, that could be a good thing.
Why did you blame Trump for a missile deployment that was announced before he was president, and say that the new president of South Korea was "shocked" even though it was publicly announced, by the way?

Absolutely .. but not at the expense of security and/or economic expansion which come from partnerships. America first leaves America alone.

Russia's new role in Afghanistan

More than two decades after the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan, Moscow is once again seeking to play a major role in the country by boosting military and economic cooperation with Kabul.
Russia and Afghanistan have become friends again, putting behind their past enmity and bitter memories from the decade-long Soviet occupation of the South Asian country. The two countries today share good relations, and they even signed a security agreement last year.
Just recently, Moscow gave 10,000 Kalashnikov rifles and millions of rounds of ammunition to the Afghan government. And further Russian military and economic aid is expected to flow to Kabul.
Although Russia hasn't engaged militarily in Afghanistan since the start of the US-led invasion of the country in 2001, Moscow has provided logistical support for the reconstruction of the war-torn nation. This cooperation was formally institutionalized by the NATO-Russia Council.
Furthermore, Russia plans to support Afghanistan's housing sector, as indicated by Zamir Kabulov, a department chief at Russia's Foreign Ministry and President Vladimir Putin's special envoy to Afghanistan, during his meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on February 29.......
I disagree .. the world disagrees.
Everything is in the article. Perhaps you should read it again .. including the date.
that was an invasion, this is partnering in a security/economic agreements.I have no interest in Russia .. and if I'm not mistaken, they've been in Afghanistan before .. and it killed the Soviet Union.
I disagree. America First does not ensure isolationism. We have given away too much to our "partners", now it's time to think about our own people before we get involved in the affairs of others.
This is one reason why I think Trump's election was exactly what America needed to wake up from ignorance.
America is about to get a hard lesson on your theory. Isolationism doesn't work. I am antiwar, so I'm fully aware that we need to stop our needless wars AND stop using terrorism if we're claiming to be fighting it. Those are goals that all Americans should be able to find agreement in .. but they aren't. Avoiding needless for-profit wars doesn't mean we need be isolationists.
that was an invasion, this is partnering in a security/economic agreements.
The Russians aren't very good at agreements and partnerships. I have no faith that any will last unless Putin is getting the lion's share.
they've learned from the Chinese. The Russians aren't very good at agreements and partnerships. I have no faith that any will last unless Putin is getting the lion's share.
I can agree with all your points, yet you seem determined to paint Trump as isolationist.
