We aren't responsible for your faulty word choice. The concept of land voting is not divorced from the discussion. That is the historical justification and it is evolution away from the concept from which we have emerged. So it's no stretch to assume you meant exactly what you said. Just take a historical survey of feudal and monarchical systems and the meaning of land with respect to rights, and fast that forward to American history including who gained suffrage.

The ec and the senate are indeed hangovers, unjust and useless vestigial political appendages harkening back to the dinosaur thinking you and your ilk admire.

About when you admit hrc was, if not the worst choice, an exceptionally bad one. Never.
Worst choices ever. Even I admit Johnson was sub standard. But he was still the best (low bar).

I don't think that is true. That meme is simply the obverse side of the delusional coin that Trump is in any way qualified for this job. I support my position by the fact that the orange clown did not simply defeat Hillary (by quirk of the college) he defeated a dozen other more qualified Rrpublicans Mano y Mano.

To restore sanity, only the insane people need to get well. Mental health is not about horse trading. It's about the far right regaining its senses, whether through attrition, old age or enlightenment by suffering the consequences of their collective stupidity.

I'm glad we're getting back to analyzing the election, it's a more rational debate.
Time had a pretty objective cover story on the whole Trump- Russia thing. Worth reading. I'll defer to Mueller and his team to settle it.
Trump won the nom (imo) because republicans long ago abandoned their constituents, not because he was qualified.
For that matter, dems also abandoned theirs for the most part. That's why they didn't turn out, among a myriad of other reasons, primarily because hrc was such a poor candidate.
As far as restoring sanity, yes, we are in an insane time.
Imagine if our choice had been Jeb! vs O' Malley. Boring but sane. But status quo.
Maybe a Trump chaotic presidency will bring us back to our senses as well as the two parties doing some serious and needed introspection.
