A 'safe word' is used by the submissive (in this case Trump) when they are being dominated too roughly (in this case, by Putin).

At least Obama left with his pants and dignity. It would be nice if America had the strength to stand up to Putin, like it did under Obama. Sanctions are a bitch. Unfortunately, Trump is Putin's bitch.
