trying to engage China is probably a waste.
The Chinese are infamous for nodding their heads in agreement,and then doing WTF they want to.
Syria depends on the partys involved.
at first they wouldn't even meet in the same room -calling each other "terrorists".
They've at least got past that -but they did it under Russian auspice,not Kerry.
Russia can't just install a puppet. There are too many players involved.
But we can (maybe) try to keep out the worst of the AQ influenced Islamists (al Nusra Front, etc)
if not get a secularist..
