McConnell warns Republicans that if they don't get their shit together, he'll have to work with Democrats on repairing Obamacare. Oh no! Republicans working for the good of the American people, with Democrats, to fix ideas that they themselves brainstormed (and which the Heritage Foundation initially endorsed), but rejected once Obama implemented them as a centrist alternative to socialized medicine.

I guess Trumpcare is dead, and the rich won't get another tax cut by ripping healthcare from the working poor.
 
they will begin calling it the american care act again

It's all about funding the CSR payments. Obamacare isn't in a 'death spiral' .. but Trump and Republicans could kill it by not funding CSR .. at HUGE political costs.

That's the point of McConnell's screed.
 
There might finally be some bi-partisanship going on here to move the country forward. And some find that something to bitch about. Disturbing.

It's a forced marriage.

Republicans now recognize the political costs of ending Obamacare without a better plan .. which they obviously don't have.

They may be forced to fund the CSR's .. which is what all this comes down to.

I'll let you in on a secret. Trump doesn't care how it gets done as long as it gets done.
Domestic politics is of course all about 'us and them', and the media is obsessed with keeping score
but in the long run Trump has a lot more to his agenda and wants this of the table..

He's also said the Dems would never support him no matter how stellar an idea was at hand,
McConnell's words notwithstanding
He rightfully blames the Dems for their "resistance".

But the big picture is Trump has a bigger agenda, and IMHO at least would be happy
to get it done no matter by whom

Trump will have a seizure if Obama's legacy legislation is not repealed...

The rest of the Trump agenda is doomed to fail as well...
