support CNN!

So not being able to succeed with your agenda in a Legislature you totally control, lowering America's image abroad, dividing the Nation for political gain, establishing yourself as record breaking liar, and employing the office of the President to launch personal attacks on other Americans is "winning?"

No wonder you "winners" thought wearing a baseball cap made you special

No wonder you're with her wandering aimlessly through the woods.

That will certainly leave a mark. I've never read more truth packed in 50 words.

I've had a trust-distrust relationship with the press since reading manufacturing consent years ago. It also didn't help that my father did projects with VOA.
I trust the media when it is fulfilling its duty, focussed on keeping a wary eye on and exposing power in all forms, especially government.
I trust Fox news exactly never, as that's absolute trash, an appendage of the GOPigs. Sadly that propaganda model has become profitable and MSNBC and CNN have
to an extent adopted "newstainment" If we are going to get an expose like on the bay of pigs or watergate or the pentagon papers, the last place you will EVER get it is Fix joke channel.
The good news is I have no cable TV and Sling does not carry Fix Joke station so I can't even be tempted to engage with that green bile inducing vomitorium.

I do not trust the mass media, they have to be listened to very closely, to see the basis for their reporting then we have to make our own decisions about those underlying facts, not their opinion or take on it. The underlying basis for stories is generally accurate, but the slant can be huge. You have to see, who said it, where the source came from, their bias and where the story is going. You also have to consider the goal of the corporate sponsor.

When listening to Hannity, you have to remember that he is selling gold as an investment, based on fear that the economic structure is failing. When watching CNN you have to remember during the day they are selling soap to bored housewives and at night beer to overworked working stiffs.

If you get your news from several sources the bias can be mitigated, but we still have to remember a majority of sources get their info from the AP, so its not necessarily a "different source" but it might be a different take on an issue.

The media can not be outright trusted, much like many other things, the information must be evaluated and studied.

I agree you can do more effective lying with emphasis and cherry picking than you can by plain misrepresentation of facts. Sadly Republicans have gone meta with this whole information war crap. They consciously, wilfully and knowingly applaud and enjoy consuming mass quantities of false facts.
They have decided that will be truth by acclamation and fiat, senses be damned. It's all about "fuck you, world" for them these days.

He wasn't the first, dude.

That hyperarticulate if redundancy wielding woman on MSNBC with the short hair and comfortable shoes, whose name obviously is escaping me, has great ratings now, I've been told.
That fact must shrivel Fox peckerwood execs stock.

Rachel is making them piss their pants.

Nixon was infamous as well...
Trump is in competition with Dicky's infamy...
and he is winning...

Dick got reelected in a landslide only then his scandals took hold. Trump will never make it as far as Tricky Dick. There are impeachment petitions all over the country already and his ratings are so low he couldn't win a dog catcher job.

Soon the congressional lap dogs will see Trump as a deficit to their agenda and not a supplement...
The rumblings are already there...
