The head of the failed campaign called the FBI's approach to the DNC Russia hack "fairly casual" and "lackadaisical."

"If anything, it's on the FBI that didn't come forward and really inform the DNC about what was going on until long after," Podesta stated.

This is totally consistent with the idea that the *alleged* Russian meddling wasn't a big deal until after November.

If the FBI thought it was a big deal, it's absolutely inexplicable, that they would not ask for the DNC server since any counterintelligence assessment done without it could easily be called into question. And should be.

But after Trump wins the election, everyone is suddenly 'unlackadaisical' about it. Now we have a Superfluous Prosecutor appointed along with eight other investigations snooping around something that quite possibly never occurred. Assange said they weren't hacks, but leaks, and nobody can come up with a good reason to disbelieve him, other than the fact the Russian collusion narrative is more important than facts.

The whole affair is the biggest political farce of the last half century.

Screw the Russiaphobic Deep State manipulations.

To put it in context the
DNC hacks are a MAJOR reason for the new Senate sanctions on Russia,and a MAJOR driver of our foreign policy.

Now look at the Podesta hacks. a "podesta 1234" password, and the IC attribution is it was done by
"Russian State actors?"
WTF?- it was a simple pfishing scheme! ( Rand Paul said a "14 year old" could do it)

And there you have it.multiple investigations / classified leaks /Russiaphobia run wild -ALL based on flimsy evidence.
Even the NSA had to admit they had "medium confidence" on all this -yet Clapper's non-Classified 'assessment'
was 100% all in that "da Russians are coming!"

It's all a house of cards, and it was done to damage Trump's ability to try to un-screw up the Russian policy left by Obama

I don't think the goal was that specific. I think the goal was to damage Trump by giving Never Trumpera like McShamnesty an excuse to not work with Trump and paralyze GOP weak kneed members of Congress. What they need to know is that people are watching and they will get punished by the base in the midterms.

Here is where I will challenge your premise. In the absence of a Trump victory what would have been the deep states pretext for Russiaphobia? Hillary and Obama kowtowed to Russia.

I am not convinced. I think Russia was an easy foil. Remember it was Podesta that floated it right after the loss. Did the deep state take advantage of the opportunity? Highly probable.

The left used this Russian thing because they believe that Trump supporters aren't loyal to Trump. They also believe that all conservatives still live in the 1980s and are anti Soviet Union.

So they believed that they could tap into that anti Soviet Union emotion to try to separate Trump from his supporters. That is why they never named anybody specific and always said "THE RUSSIANS" it was supposed to conjure images of the Soviet Union.

Of course they are pretending Teddy Kennedy didn't try to collude with the Russians. Bucky actually said "Teddy is dead". He has since deleted the post.

Deep State has anathema to Wiki since they are covert and Wiki is about transparency.
I think the Dems are just unable to grasp a Russian policy, having such all but abandoned under Obama.
They glom onto the hysteria without really understanding why except it's anti-Trump
