It's been a long time coming. Donald Trump has finally admitted that he might not be presidential. On Saturday night, the current US President sent out a series of tweets defending his use of social media and attacking major news network CNN for their 'fake news' coverage. This came after CNN retracted an article which alleged that one of Trump's aides was under investigation by Congress. This is the sort of standard rant that we've come to expect from the former leader of the free world, the 45th President of the United States. His next tweet at first seemed like a frank admission that he wasn't up to scratch. Actually, he's just attempting to redefine the term "Presidential". Which is probably ...Read more

He is so popular in large part because he writes his own parts to "act." From now on, Presidents will try to act more Trumpidential.

Nope. Drumpf is one of a kind. I highly doubt we'll have another President who is unabashedly arrogant, ignorant, egotistical, and belligerent on the scale of Drumpf. His failed presidency will ensure that, in the same way that the other guy you voted for - George Dumya Bush - is not a model for anyone to emulate.

Pretending to be like Trump will be about as ridiculous as pretending to be a black carribbean.

he will be known as the traitor president

people will be using him as a insult as long as mankind exists

Get in the fan line behind black vegetables, #5. The Imperial Don has set the bar for all who follow.

No admission. More like a piece of shit like you taking something he said and twisting it that way to satisfy your hate. Keep kissing Obama's black ass, NL.

Being presidential seems to equal ineffective and detrimental to the country.
I like him just the way he is. Liberals need to be told to f#ck off and grow up and he's just the guy to do it.
Couldn't be happier with a president who isn't owned.
Still quiteaching unhappy with congress.

Yeah, and if your party doesn't figure out some way to become un-unhinged they're going to pretend to be relevant in the next election and thereafter. All of this *noise* about Twitter and Russian collusion will be drowned out by the economy if Trump's deregulation has any effect at all.

What problem do you have with blacks in the Caribbean?

presidential is defined as the characteristics of a president. he is president, therefore whatever he does is presidential by definition. Accept the reality shift. It's perfectly normal and presidential to grab women by the pussy.

The bar is on the fucking floor.
All Pence will have to do, once Trump resigns in disgrace, is to show up and be somewhat civil...
He will come off looking like George fucking Washington by contrast...

Well, I'm not presidential either. That's probably why I laugh at his tweeted video ... Then my son laughed and then my wife laughed. Then my dad, sister, BIL, cousin and his wife all laughed when I showed them at lunch after church.

I agree, it IS hilarious that someone calling himself POTUS could be that trite and childish..

I have to admit, I am somewhat astounded that you are so quick to defend Drumpf (at best), or admire him (at worst), given that the overweight creepy pussy grabber is the most self-absorbed, egotistical, thin-skinned, arrogant, philandering person who has ever had the privilege to represent the U.S. presidency. Further adding to the astonishment is your self-identification as a "conservative democrat", since your pussy grabbing Orange president is neither conservative nor Democratic.

Don't like him. Think he's a terrible person. Probably won't like much of what he might "accomplish." I would much prefer Pence be the man in charge. But I got the one thing I voted for Trump for (Gorsuch) and maybe I can get one more before he's out.

But I at least am up for seeing what he might do. Revamp Obamacare? It needs help but I don't want single payer which is all some on the left would go for. But the way the networks vilify him and anything attached to him it would be political for moderate dems and repubs to work and accomplish anything under his watch. That's what this age of "news" has brought us to. Started with Bill Clinton and Fox...continued with GW (especially in his second term for obvious reasons) and the CNN's and MSNBC's and Obama was treated badly again by Fox. Nothing gets accomplished and the country gets pulled further and further apart because of them all.

So, up to now no one has ever said much back at them. Obama tried a bit when it was Fox but he was a presidential man and how he responded didn't amount to much. So yes, to me (and a lot of us deplorables who have felt this way over the years) this is humorous if not presidential.

I have a pretty good idea of the type of people in middle America who wouldn't vote for Hillary so some of them resorted to voting for a guy like trump and they kind of like a little nose thumbing at what offends them now and then. Many of them feel they have received it at the hands of the networks for several years now. Any conservative idea or tenet is opposed by them...it just shows more with some than others. So to some of us unpresidential types that was funny use of Twitter. (Now ask me about the Mika tweets and I'll say I think he went too far with that. It was personal and he shouldn't have done it.)

Okay, that's fine. But you live in Okalahoma, and there was zero chance Drumpf was going to lose there, so you had complete freedom to vote your conscience for a candidate the represented your values.

If Obama released a video of him beating up Fox, I would have thought it was stupid, tasteless, and beneath the dignity of the office of the President. Not sure why the rush to defend the Orange One on this. Not sure why this merits giggling and high-fiving within the Drumpf fan base.

There has been nothing like Drumpf. Nothing that even comes close to his buffoonish and belligerent behavior. I could be wrong, but all the adults I know try to raise their children to be a person not like Trump....egotistical, arrogant, a old school misogynist, an old man who chases women young enough to be his grand daughter. I don't know anyone who holds those values, admires those values, or who will go out of their way to defend a person like that like that.
